Player Comparison: Jason Campbell/Terrelle Pryor. Physically, Manuel is similar to Campbell (6-5, 230) and Pryor (6-6, 233). As a passer, Manuel is more like Campbell. Both have good arms, but aren't the most natural of passers. Manuel's running ability is slightly below that of Pryor. Campbell was a first-round pick while Pryor went in the third; Manuel could easily go between them in the second round.



Jason Campbell plays nothing like Terrelle Pryor. One is a pocket passer, the other a runner.

Second, EJ Manuel plays like neither of them.

I can see where he's coming from because Manuel has certain attributes that make him similar to both. But as a total package, he's not really similar to either guy. Anyone who draft Manuel in the first 3 rounds is wasting a pick. Can he run? Sure. But what good is it if he's scared to run and get hit. His accuracy is erratic, too. I can see him getting drafted higher than he should because he "looks" like a prototypical QB, especially for today's NFL.

I can't. Campbell is a stiff and Pryor is a more prolific runner than Manuel.
