They gave up more to get Westbrook than Phoenix did to get CP3 who has coming off 2nd Team All NBA that year. Washington was always going to win the trade by getting off Westbrook's contract and the Lakers made it worse by attaching a first round pick to the deal when they didn't necessarily have to as they had all the leverage.

the issue isn’t both of them not being able to share the ball.
Russ is completely washed now & AD can’t stay healthy as usual and wasn’t playing like a top 5 player when he was healthy.

That was ridiculous. Might end up being a top 5 most lopsided trade of all of time. Westbrook would be like the 3rd best player in that trade now.

I dont think Russ will be this bad for a long time... but he's one of my favorites... I already know he cant finish games.
the huge logjam happening now is ... you would want Westbrook to control the game and get comfortable... but at the same time you cant stat pad and cruise control while he's doing that
But if you stat pad and cruise control, you're making the other players lazy as fukk. All while having a big target on your back. Games swing fast when you got Westbrook fukking up possessions and Lebron going for easy 30 with absolutely no urgency when the games swing
he's gonna be able to get more points the more they are down... so he's gotta pick one or the other. Does he actually score to keep them in the game, or let it fall apart and just get that scoring title.

The same way cats wanna pretend I'm wrong, but hypocritically get mad at Westbrook for chasing triple doubles and losing. Saying shyt like "get less points Russ and more assists for open shots!" Brooklyn is going through the same exact shyt... they look shakey as fukk out there and dont play confident team ball.

IMO Lebron keeps overplaying his hand...I believe it's better to have 2 stars and quality depth rather than 3 stars and limited depth...Having a 3rd max player puts a heavier burden on the top 3 players...but what makes the Westbrook situation even worse is that he's not a good fit nor is he a good offensive or defensive player.

I've never been a fan of the Big 3 BS....2 superstars and quality role players should be enough to win a championship or at the very least be in the championship mix.
I kind of find it ironic that when Lebron won in Miami, Wade/Bosh had to take a lesser role...and when Cleveland won, Love wasn't a huge factor...and when LA won, kCP was the 3rd option.
