Con-servatives still don't care, they're mocking all this just the same. Until it affects their homes and stuff, they could care less.

I know since we are in TLR, this will probably fall in deaf ears and be responded to with kakaing and kekeing, but fukk it, here's my 2 cents.

We gotta get out of the consumption mentality we've been conditioned to accept. It disgusts me to no end that we live in a society where food and goods are thrown away and destroyed to keep up bullshyt numbers for the "economy". The 6 figure Coli brehs are gonna agave to enlighten me about why we should further prioritize the economy over human lives? When the economy is bad, we get fukked, and the economy is good we still get fukked.

The earth is our only home. If we want our children to see a better tomorrow, we really are going to have to consider some "militant" options. We're looking down the barrel of worsening hurricanes, floods, firefires, blizzards, landslides. This is going to have profound effects in the global south, where resources and labor are outsourced to feed the North. With the rise of fascist movements raising the banner of nationalism in the face of fleeing migrants, we'll probably see the worse of humanity that would make events like the Crusades and the Holocaust look like a minor footnote in history.

The labor strikes this summer are a good start and an indicator that the weight of capitalist greed will cause an inflection point, for the worse if we stay apathetic or for the better if we give a damn and grab our fukkin nuts.

This is literally what the "leaders" wanted.

In recent times, Oil and Gas permits started going up under Obama.
Trump hit the accelerator.
And Biden is OUTPACING TRUMP - Biden Administration Oil, Gas Drilling Approvals Outpace Trump’s

FOH with electric cars and solar. That only reduces the amount of CO2 going into the air.

We need to get the current amount of CO2 out of the air NOW, like 20 years ago actually.

They need Oppenheimer to do a Manhattan Project for Carbon Capture....
That's never gonna happen. The people in charge got rat holes in New Zealand.

Y'all yelling bout messicans now. You ain't seen the half.

Buy you some property in the Great Lakes Area.
And get ready for hella mosquitos.
And a lot of PAC NW/Canada forest fires.

You realize nature doesn't care if you're ignorant to it or chose to be obtusely optimistic right?

This is a real thing, the planet was never gonna be here forever, but it'd be nice if the bullshyt we did wasn't speeding the situation up
Planet will eventually get over the damage we do to it. Lots of animals and plants will evolve and move on. There are organisms that can live at volcanic temperatures and even survive with just nitrogen. There are microscopic organisms that can tolerate exposure to space for surprising amounts of time. Life will go on.

People? Can't say if we're going to make it. Dinosaurs were around for millions of years and humans as we recognize them today have been around for 10k years. We might not even have anything left behind 150 million years from now. Might be some fossils of us left, but I think what might even happen is cold blooded animals will adapt to the new temperature and evolve into dinosaur-like animals and everything starts over again.

I can see us making it if we either aggressively genetically modify everything so that we can survive while trying to re-balance ourself with the equilibrium of nature or if we genetically modify ourselves to be able to live longer, resist higher temperatures, and fight the diseases that come with that. To do that though, we'll have to all be on the same page and agree this is a thing that needs to happen. I just don't see that happening peacefully. I would obviously love to be wrong. I'd love for all the rich people who put us in this situation to have a collective "we fukked up" moment and aggressively start giving away their money and power to fix this but I think money and power have the same effect on human brains as cocaine. It's an addiction that you have to be forced to give up through severe trauma. Like how a coke addict's septum collapses or a heroin addict's veins collapse.

There is also the option of people just saying "that old money that yall had? not valid anymore. New currency. Your stocks and bonds don't mean anything now either" a hard financial reset that throws out all debts and starts everyone from scratch. I think that's the most peaceful option, but again how do you enforce that without having to physically harm or jail rich people and politicians? I don't know.
