I've said it before and I'll say it again. If people really care about the environment, then write to your local representative to introduce a tax that will be paid to Brazil to offset the forgone economic gain they would have gotten from burning down the Amazon.

All this talk is talk.

Collectively as a people, we've accepted the premise of maximizing human consumption at all costs.

It’s easier to convince people to do a bloody regime change than a tax

:demonic:

But real talk a global environmental tax would be an amazing idea. A lot of poor countries could benefit from it. Maybe send some to those countries with endangered animals too to arm the rangers against the poachers.

Isnt it funny how all these pro-white nationalist movements around the world are being humiliated all at once?

This going on in Brazil with very little resolve. US economy by all indications on the verge of recession, national debt at unprecedented high, job numbers being cooked for months, President looking up at the sky calling himself the chosen one, writing bullshyt tweets blaming the Fed for his own poor trade and economic policies to desperately distract. Brexit deal pretty much impossible to pull off in spite of Boris Johnson's insistence. No one in the EU even entertaining the idea. UK is in shambles. Matteo Salvini out here campaigning on the beach as his fukked up scheme to become Prime Minister drags the Italian government into chaos.

The most amazing thing about these right wing movements is just the relentless arrogancr of it all. Even when faced with the reality that nationalism simply isnt working--and is in fact causing more economic strife, more destabalization of our government, more violence, more poverty than immigrants ever could--these movements are so steeped in this willing ignorance of facts in favor of personal prejudice and greed that even when they are dead wrong they have to collapse entire economies just to save face.

We are about to be in a global recession thanks in every part to the rise of these right wing nationalist a$$holes.

People are just gonna have to learn the hard way the difference between liberalism and right wing conservatism. Between thinkers and simple minded bigots. Especially the typical smart-dumb niccas that actually believe co-signing this same right wing, anti-immigrant nationalism and not voting until liberals can be pigeonheld into serving only White Americans and multi-generational African Americans is going to work.

But wasn't the rise of populism in part because globalism undercut a large working class within each of these countries?

And to be fair, the Amazon was gonna get chopped down one way or the other. Like I've said, we as a people have put economic expansion and consumption ahead of environmentalism.

CACS don't care...:ld: they will destroy themselves and others in the name of profit... And they get cosigned by the white majority because....They're white so they can do no wrong even when other white people are poisoning them... :manny:

Terrifying. But what else could you expect from a fascist? Our ecosystem literally cannot handle more horrible leadership exploiting every natural resource and irreversibly damaging the planet for short term profit. But it seems like that's what's happening now. People like Bolsanaro do not care if they destroy the planet as long as they can line their pockets and those of their investors with millions upon billions.

Until the environment becomes the economy, the economy will trump the environment...

Not saying we need to kill the rich, but we need to scare the holy fukking shyt out of em and tax them to high hell and out that money towards our PLANET. Which, coincidentally is the only planet we currently have...

The Paris Accords were trying to do just that. Carbon credits that would have been sold in the market place with more efficient nation's selling to less efficient ones. Unfortunately it got tanked by the Trump adminstration
