Been at it everday since last summer. Blocked my account on here & social media since December to July. Probably job ready, just polishing up my portfolio then will start the job hunt in a month or two. Taught myself C# and Javascript until I could use React + Redux etc. with efficiency.

Glad I took that year out of my life to focus, just goes to show what you can do if you stop procrastinating and making excuses

1 year and a few months into my first front end developer job. Got a promotion to mid level 6 months into it. Things are sweet.

Spending less time on here and more time doing positive actions paid off.

Use an app like RescueTime to see how much you spend on here and on social media over a year and think about what if you spent that doing something productive

Currently 40% through the Web Development Bootcamp course on Udemy. Tackling Javascript right now.

One piece of advice is to research any online course before you buy it. Don't take a course simply because it is free or expect a course to be great because it costs a lot of money. Also check out what people who completed the course are saying. Read the reviews. Search for keywords like 'expert', 'career' or 'complete' in the reviews. It is not just what you are learning, but who is teaching. The course I am taking costs $11.99 and so I know a lot of people would assume it is not very in-depth but the instructor actually teaches Web Development Bootcamps IRL & has had over half a million people enroll in his course.
