Theres like a grace area above mercury and the proposal is that we float above mercury using its gases like a hot air balloon

Sounds crazy, dont know all the science behind it but theres a lot of youtube videos detailing how it would work
For Mercury? I've only heard about it for Venus with the floating cities proposal since the atmosphere of Venus has a moderate temperature.

I enjoy the variety space has to offer, including them :manny: they're basically a space version of the grand canyon, etc.

Beautiful to witness at a distance but idk about that "ground" level shyt :ld:

I find the gas giants more intriguing. 500 year storms bigger than earth on Jupiter, the fact that if u could put Saturn in a big enough bathtub it would float, Neptune rains diamonds, and Uranus literally smells like a fart due to the tons of hydrogen sulfide in the atmosphere :mjlol:

It some bizarro world shyt.

Europa, titan, mars and Enceladus are going to be the only things in space worth a damn in terms of exciting discoveries. We will probably be focused on those for the next 50-60 years. The annoying part is we probably won’t discover anything ground breaking about them until the mid to late 2030’s:francis:

Even the Webb telescope has been underwhelming so far

What was up with all that “a day on saturn is like 3 days on earth” nonsense they used to talk about? Why the fukk does it matter when there’s no surface to walk on? :why:

Like oh this gas ball rotates around the sun faster/slower than our planet, cool. Yall had us thinking we could race cars on Jupiter :stopitslime:

Jupiter has likely saved us from several ELEs over the eons. Put some respect on his name!
