One thing I am trying to learn is the technique of scratching. I am not interested in being a battle dj or anything but I would like to learn how to scratch to help as another tool in transitioning to another song. Ive been doing it for about a half a year.

Master it.

When you do, incorporating it into a party rockin gig will guarantee future gigs and p*ssy in your lap.

My brother in law is a DJ. It’s a lot more difficult than it seems. It’s not just putting a playlist together, it’s playing the songs in a sequence so they flow together, and syncing the tempo so the end of the current song is on the same beat as the next song.

Know your BPMs!
