Yeah when we were young there was a certain cachet that came with being black, to the point that non-black males expected you to have hands, and you could often coast off of that aura. Nowadays it seems with newer generations especially that cachet is significantly diminished so if you're going to test a non-blacks gangster don't be surprised if you may actually have to throw hands.

Roll past any mma/self defense you will see why. They are in there deep training.

That same coasting off reputation/athletic ability can easily turn into a detriment..
