It's not about a generation gap...Because the people making the behind the scenes decisions and the majority of rappers poisoning the mainstream are older than all of us...

Joey Badass, Big K.R.I.T, Kendrick and Earl Sweatshirt seem to get it and they are all babies in the culture..Earl and Joey aren't even 20 yet...

Sadly most of the n1ggas rapping about nothing have the most life experience.. Yes I'm talking about you, Mr. 40 year old rapper telling us about your watch, Gucci belt and missing roof for the 50th time...Ole Hair Club For Men azz lame n1ggas...

:heh:

What does Joey rap about??

WHat does Kendrick rap about?

They are starting out...they are creating their lanes..they are rapping about things their status and position allows them to rap about..

fukk I look like wanting Hov to rap like some underdog ass nikka

When this nikka dropped RD..one of the most villianous, money loving, crime motivated album Ive ever heard?

Jay has been cocky on mic since day one...who he is...his cockiness just has more "umph" cuz he's on a higher plane...but even then his music still entertains his fanbase

Music is his therapy..:yeshrug:

Thats why even in songs like HAM..u have lines he spits where its obviously therapy (lines about his Pops and uncle).

Or Lift off...where he complains about his material success no longer giving him the joy he once had and leaving him a void(being bored)

ANyways Im rambling..point is...all u are is a filthy disgusting Nas stan..sooo ya:youngsabo::wow:

U tryna bring a nikka to red? :shaq:

Or be righteous and turn me green?:steviej:

I already gave out too much rep for the day but I'll turn you green tomorrow..I don't agree with you but I respect your Jay Stannin and Nas hate...You're 100 and don't act like a b1tch..

Plus you're not one of these passive aggressive Jay Stans thats always sayin "Nas is in my top 5" or "Nas and Jay are my two favorite rappers" while spending their entire day :cape: for Hov and ignoring all Esco related slander...

:salute:

These same folks crying about this current generation of rap would never put Big Daddy Kane or Rakim anywhere near their top 10 list but most will have Biggie and his 2 albums as the best rapper ever. Move on, hiphop did not start in the 90s..... most ppl online have almost zero knowledge of what existed before then (i wonder why )

cultures grow and develop to be stronger through guidance, mentoring, and and a healthy knowledge of the past. without that, the culture will die and turn into something else.

Are you fcking serious? You sound like a racist white boy. Thats what racist white boys do when they discuss hip hop....reduce it to its worst elements. So I guess the b boy culture, which curbed a lot of violence, never existed...I guess Public Enemy and the black empowerment movement of the late 80s never happened. I guess all the brilliant records, positive messages, and lives who were saved by hip hop never happened. Naw, its just all about immature actions by a few rappers. Awful post.

You're talking about the 80's, when the culture was alive and not on a mainstream level like it is in 2013. In 2013 there is no culture its all entertainment. Of course I'm going to focus on the negative because the culture celebrates negativity. French Montana is on the cover of XXL and they did a best of 2012...Saigons name wasnt mentioned once.....Mind you Saigon is at the forefront of curbing violence in the music on top of postive messages...yet he gets not 1 mention.....But French Montana gets the cover...... Dont talk to me about hip hop being reduced to the worst elements.....it already is when French Montana is on the cover of the most popular Hip Hop magazine detailing the best of 2012 and Saigon doesnt even get mentioned....

Noticed how u were stuck in the 80's with your rant and cant bring it to 2013. This so called culture is an immature one on a mainstream level....dont bring up underground sh*t cuz the kids focus on whos popular......This so called culture u tried to defend has made a designer drug like molly an ok thing in 2013.....WorldstarHipHop is the go to for all the current action(mostly negative) surrounding the urban market. To u I sound like a white boy yet I'm a Black man which means your conclusions have already proven to be off.......I say that u sound unrealistic to deny the reality that this so called culture called Hip Hop is in fact currently very negative.
