Lol… my bedroom is literally bigger than that entire house. Smh. I’m never moving up north. Visits only. This for convenience? I can’t think of many things less convenient than living in a shoebox

Living with in 15 miles of 3 international airports = convenience

having around the clock access to shyt like a 24 hour apple store = convenience

Being able to hop on a train and avoid all traffic = convenience

Michelin Star rated restaurants in walking dist = convenience.

we get it, NYC life wouldn’t be for and that’s cool.

People aren’t living there because they prefer the actual living conditions though. If more offices start building outside of city center, the demand wouldn’t be as high. They’re building Live Work Play complexes all over the south making it much more appealing to live the suburbs. When you got a TopGolf and 15 restaurants downstairs, it doesn’t matter as much that you live 20-30 minutes from the city proper. This will probably be a mainstay in the north because they don’t have space to build out… but the south doesn’t have that problem.

How often are you going to the airport, eating a Michelin star restaurants and needing access to an Apple Store? Lol

My job pays for my Uber if I fly for work. For personal trips, I fly maybe 4 or 5 times per year, I own an iPhone and have stepped into the actual store twice in my life, and I generally don’t splurge on restaurants but a few times per year. I cook in my adult sized kitchen. I also don’t need a train to access the things I need 80% of the time. There are 3 grocery stores within 2 miles of where I live. They’re also building a Live/Work/Play complex 3 miles up the road, so we’ll see what that brings. Most times I don’t even have to leave the house for things I need because I have something called the internet.

Now don’t get me wrong, it would be great to have easier access to entertainment, but I got two kids and we ain’t got a whole lotta time for that anymore anyway. Either way, I’m not paying 2k to live in a shoebox just so it only takes me 10 minutes to get to the club, some (arguably) overpriced restaurant or an art museum.
