I haven’t seen the movie, but I’m reading the book. Maybe because i don’t read fictional books much, but the author is 
He jumps around. He brings up dumb or unnecessary shyt like comparing the husband’s awareness of his wife’s reaction to an erection, then later decides to mention the husband rolls down the window so he wouldn’t smell his kid’s farts. The dialogue between the characters feels so unnatural. And this is only chapter 1!
I want to read this because the public response has me interested, but this feels like it’s gonna be rough to get through.
