Rose fit all the criteria (top record, career year, haven't won it before). Only a next level season by Bron and the Heat (like this year for example) could have got Lebron the MVP that year. They didn't want to give it to him this year or last year but he took his game to another level each year and really gave them no choice. I was just telling somebody the other day that he really has no shot at winning it next year unless he comes out on some Oscar Robertson shyt and shoots 60% and/or the Heat win 70.

Doesn't matter. I'm convinced that there will never be a unanimous MVP for the same reason there will never be a unanimous HOF selection in baseball. I stopped putting much stock in these awards when I read a piece by Sam Smith about how he wasn't gonna vote KG for MVP purely based upon his treatment of the media. At that point is was clear to me that no fukks were given.
