If LeBron stayed the roster wouldn't be the same as the roster now, Bosh wouldn't have gotten the max, wade still taking less Riley probably uses money to add on instead of replacing. Wade AND LeBron increase the strength of the perimeter defense along with Bosh's pick and roll defense and Cole's solid on ball defense. They've been small and they've been poor at rebounding since forever

Why wouldn't Bosh get the Max? The Rockets were offering him a Max deal, the only way the Heat keep him is by giving him the 5 year max.

The Heat's defense is 26th in the league, they were starting to decline there last year so I don't see how they improve defensively when LeBron himself hasn't been all that great this year. The Cavs have a bunch of young dudes giving effort, and while they may not be as good defensively as the Heat were they are improving on that side. They were 27th two weeks ago, they are now 15th in the league defensively.

The Cavs are the better basketball situation and it's not even close, the 5th best guy on the Cavs would be the 3rd best on the Heat, nevermind the trade assets the Cavs have.
