Facts.

He may never make it past Jordan as a basketball player but as an athlete he’s there with Ali
Man what?!! Lebron James hasn’t done a damn thing to be “up there” or compared to a social, athletic and cultural icon like Muhammad Ali.

Lebron isn’t willing to miss a game or season for his beliefs let alone spend almost 4 years of prime earning years in exile over them.

Compare the way Jerry handled it to Kyrie, breh. :mjlol:

The "controversy" was deaded right away do the media stopped covering it cause the media likes "controversy". It's that simple.
it was dead because it was not relentlessly pursued and I didn't support Kyrie either on how he handled shyt

but Kaep didn't do anything wrong. Jerry showed his colors during the protest.

I was one of those people, but I was also well aware enough to acknowledge my hypocrisy in this situation unlike the players and other posters on this site who pretended that it wasn't.

Morey also didn't get away scott free from the situation as Tsai literally tried to pull a power move behind the scenes to get Morey out of the paint and AOC and some of those politicians in Washington were the main reason why he didn't. Hell, Tsai essentially tried the same exact thing with Kyrie until the Bron and everyone in the league finally stood up and said something about Tsai and his hypocrisy.

Good you acknowledge your hypocrisy. That situation and many other instances on that dumb sports section just showed me the low level of intelligence that is on that section of the site.

IMO Morey still got off scott free because at the end of the day its 30 owners not one. The other 29 owners wanted to protect Morey, which they did because you saw it real time he did not get publicly flogging and they protected him from the media. So he really payed no cost for his actions, beside being put on pay time out to not do press conferences or be on twitter.

While at the same time all the black star players (not the white ones cause they media didn't pick on any of them in the incident) got publicly flogged for a WHITE MAN fukkING UP THE MONEY. The racist white media used the incident to get back at black NBA players who they felt was too outspoken on police shootings and other racial situations.

Probably cause Jerry Jones isn’t in the same league with you. How many NFL players were asked about Kyrie? Try to grandstand and fail miserably brehs.

Lebron really thought he did something with that sassy mic drop. :mjlol:

The media over the years have also never really pushed his sexual assault cases, his paternity issues or some of his shady business practices. It never got further than the local Dallas news and almost never makes it to ESPN or the other national sports news.

Realize this is ESPN that covers any legal issue a black player had with vigor. Hell I remember they ran a article and had it in their website top 5 issues when Mcnabb was injured and his car was parked in a handicapped parking space resulting in a ticket. Even though his assistant had the car and parked it illegally cause McNabb was still recovering from ACL surgery. Thats how hard ESPN has always road on black athletes.

They weren't going to publicly flog him because that would have exposed their own business dealings in China as well, which we know about because the media has reported on it heavily. Even Tsai fukked up flogging and publicly going after Kyrie because that's when people started looking into his own dealings and hypocrisy.

It was totally fair that the NBA players got publicly flogged and asked about the situation as they are more visible to the cameras and interviews compared to the people in the FO or behind the scenes. That's part of what comes with their profession in that they do interviews and can be asked about any question or topic at hand.

However as I mentioned before, this Jerry Jones situation is the prime example of the media helping to shield Jerry Jones because of their interest in how much content and interest the Cowboys generate. Is it fair? Of course not, but as I've said before, you can't nor shouldn't be able to pick and choose when you want to discuss or not discuss a story if you're supposed to be impartial.

You're downplaying the power, sway and influence that Jerry and namely the Cowboys have on those sports networks and the media in general. It's the exact reason why SAS treaded lightly in discussing the story as the Cowboys are the bulk of their content.

He's not the first person that the media has helped shield as they've done it for years even with someone like Harvey Weinstein who some media admitted helping cover his accusations because they were on his payroll.

He can say that because nothing will happen to Jerry Jones. They have tried a few times to get him out the paint but he’s still here. Nothing bad will happen to him until he dies.. Anyway, I hope Lebron stands by this and don’t come back apologizing.

I wish he had a better argument

It's a reach, I like the dialogue he's bringing forth but it's a different ball game

Also Jerry didn't insult jews, so nobody gives a fukk, this country built on hating negros

Because Jerry Jones ain't act like a combative bytch and prolong the situation. He gave a straight answer.

On top of it being a completely different sport.

On top of Jerry not being as visible and accessible as Kyrie.

If I'm not mistaking doesn't Jerry Jones give an interview session after every Cowboys game?

And Jerry sure as hell didn't give a straight answer he was stuttering, stammering and dodging the black journalists questions.

Jerry doesn't have media availability every practice and every game. the situations were different and they were handled differently by the focus', that's why this comparison by lebron is dumb.

He's not saying anything that threatens his livelihood or goes against what the general public thinks.

As an athlete he's a big shill for liberalism. Muhammad Ali didn't have a Nike influencing his decisions.
So you have to say something that threatens your livelihood in order for it to have an impact? A lot of y’all are goofy.
