I honestly think social media and first take culture, hell society as a whole, has made people dumber. I hate to say that, but how do yall not have basic logic.
1. “We don’t know if Lebron was there” would have been and is a valid statement.
2. “Lebron was there”- would also be a valid statement from someone who saw him there (someone just said RJ and Frye said that)
3. However, what is not a valid statement is to definitively say “He wasn’t there”. Bc the only way to confirm he was not there, is to prove he was somewhere else at the same time. Did SAS do that? No. Ok, so he’s lying. That’s by general standard. By a journalistic standard it’s blasphemy, breaking a principle they teach you on day 1. It destroys any credibly as long as your practice journalism.
Perhaps you’ve heard this: the absence of evidence is not evidence of absenceThat not just a pulp fiction quote that’s a philosophical principle. Just bc a pic wasn’t taken or 1 person didn’t see him in a crowd of 20k doesn’t mean he wasn’t there.
Jimmy Kinmel was the damn host of the event

He knows everyone high profile who attended and he said LBJ WASN’T there. He said this about a month after the memorial. He has no reason to lie.
