What 3 or 4 good offseason 'transactions' can the Cavs make to beat the Warriors?

a consistent 2 guard and a more offensive minded big? :lupe: let TT roll and get some young players for the bench? :ld:

They traded Mozgov away, that was their offensive minded big. They won't be able to pry an effective offensive minded big from any of the few teams that actually have one so say goodbye to that one.

The only consistent 2 guards in the league are expensive as fukk, and a commodity. Reddikk might get paid 20 mil a year just to run around and shoot 3's. So it's possible for them to acquire one but not likely.

I went through every NBA roster and made a realistic list of every player the cavs could get during the offseason.

Starting center:
Valanciunas-Trade
Vucevic-Trade...take back Biyombo's contract as part of the trade
M.Plumlee-sign/Trade

Starting PF
C.Bosh-Wants to play again....cavs could sign Bosh,then trade Love for a all-star caliber C/SG

Backup pg:
Corey Joseph-Trade
Beno Udrith-vet minimum
S.Livingston-mid level exception
Ty Lawson-Sign
M.Carter-Williams-sign(similar to Livingston)

Backup sg:
JR Smith-Demotion to the bench
A.Afflalo-Trade
T.Snell-Trade
D.Green-Trade

Backup F
D. Williams-Would cost cleveland almost nothing
Bagdanovic-Sign
Mirotic-Sign
K.Faried-Trade
T.Young-Trade
D.Carroll-Trade

Backup f/C
T.Thompson-Demotion to the bench
G.Monroe-Trade
N.Hilario-Sign
O.Asik-Trade

K.Love trade options:
Love for Millsap
Love for George
Love for Hayward
Love for Gobert
Love for Griffin

Real talk the only chance LeBron has of beating these dudes is if he starts taking huge paycuts. I hate that from the perspective of I want players to get their money but GS pimped the system. Bron has to convince George or Butler to come on board (via trade for Love or someone else and some 1st's) and then take a haircut with his pay. My guess is there are at least a few stars that really want to win a title and now understand the only way to beat GS is to create/join another superteam

MCW is horrible. Outside of being tall and light skinned, nothing like Livingston

Love for Millsap
Love for George
Love for Hayward
Love for Gobert

Love for Griffin
Why would Indy or Utah do that?

Are you assuming Kawhi is going to get hurt in the playoffs next year too?

Kawhi is one of my favorite players in the league the least decade, but I'm not exactly sure he'd want to give up the ball and his growth as a player for the sake of letting Lebron chase his legacy. Dude has been waiting behind TP, Manu and Duncan up to this point and probably one of the only reasons Pop isn't going to retire.

Plus I think people are looking a little too much into what happened in 1.5 quarters of basketball.

Best time to acquire players is when they have bad seasons

Indiana is going to Lose George no matter what.Might as well get something back in return.

Utah is known for being a penny pinchin team. And there's no guarantee Hayward wants to return. So the next best thing is a sign and trade.......If Hayward does leave......utah will need to replace his scoring....a Love for Gobert trade make some sense....Love has 3 years left on his contract,Gobert has 4,and Hayward's new contract will most likely be 5 years.

That makes zero sense for Utah.

If Hill and Hayward leaves, who's scoring the ball for Utah ?.....the Love/Gobert trade only has a chance of happening if Hayward decides to leave utah.If Hayward stays, the Love/Gobert trade is dead in the water.
