Lebron cannot be GOAT because he lacks ability to take over games

He lacks take over ability in big moments, especially down the stretch in the last 5 minutes of the game.

The bulk of his points come from bully ball around the rim, transition, and open 3's. This is great and a highly efficient way to produce points yet the problem is that during the last minutes of the game these opportunities dry up, and without a reliable midrange game that he has confidence in, LeBron struggles to take over in these situations.

It's a huge hole in his game that gets overlooked because tons of people don't even watch the games anymore, they just read espn and twitter and get stat lines or whatever and see that LeBron scored 25+ points and assumed he did well. The other half of the story doesn't get shown when LeBron is forced to defer to his teammates in the most crucial late game situations. If LeBron was the best he would not have this problem. You can't be the greatest player of all time when you don't consistently take over big games in the Final minutes. That is what Jordan was famous for. He made his legend by consistently taking over games in the final 5 minutes. Both on the offensive AND defensive end. Which is something LeBron just doesn't do. LeBron is a great player and a borderline top 10 ATG but nothing higher. His game has too many holes in it to be put any higher.

I've seen Wade, Ray Allen, Kyrie and others step up in crucial situations to carry the weight when LeBron has come up small.

I'm talking about moments in which LeBron could have cemented his case for GOAT.

When it mattered the most??? Matters the most = crucial Finals games, elimination playoff games

He thrashed the Celtics in game 6 2012 ECF facing elimination (where Wade and Bosh only put up 17 and 7)


Which would lead to another clutch performance in game 7, and eventually his 1st championship


He completely went off in game 6 and was the reason why that Ray Allen shot even mattered to begin with because he brought the team back single handedly when they were down double digits entering the 4th


Which again led to another clutch performance in a close game 7



And he literally willed a team down 3-1 vs a 73 win squad, averaging 36/10/12 splits over elimination games, and put up a trip dub in game 7 (Again, that Kyrie shot literally does not matter if Lebron doesn't play out his mind and keep the Cavs in the series)



And yet he still comes up small "when it matters the most" You must have poor memory if you believe what you just wrote breh
