His stat line usually reads 28 7,9. lebron stat line averages are "spectacular" games for Kobe even in his prime. Kobe with 7 or more assist games are . He's a great scorer, a better scorer but lebron is by far the overall better player. An 8 rebound game for Kobe is eye popping. Lebron does that while averaging 26 and shooting 55% percent from the field.

I watch every game Kobe plays. I only watch LeBron when the Heat play a good team. LeBron's a great player but his style of play isn't as captivating as Kobe. Its pretty simple to see why Kobe is more popular.

Also you got to remember that outside of white people, Kobe is by far the most popular athlete in America. Only crakkkas hate on him. Wasn't there some poll a couple of years back that showed that among black and hispanics, Kobe is the #1 athlete in America. Also, across the world, he's the most recognizable basketball player since MJ.
