The Shaq and Kobe lakers by 2001 were too top heavy. The 2000-01 lakers third leading scorer was fisher at 11.6 and he was the only guy besides Shaq and Kobe averaging 10+. Same for the 2001-02 and 2002-03 teams. Even the 1999-2000 squad only had one guy besides them average double figure scoring. 5 different guys did it on the 1984-85 lakers and 7 guys did on the 1986-87 team. They had great depth, but only taking 5.5 threes per game as a team wouldn't cut it in today's league. I'd say they're definitely the deepest and most talented team of their era though.
