Who are these "most", when it has REPEATEDLY been posted in this thread the PROOF of other players saying who they thinks the best? The hell are you even talking about?

You dudes DO NOT think before you type.

Durant won MVP when he had "more tasks" he couldn't get to the finals when he "more tasks"

I will say this less task version of Durant has been superior to LeBron.

But lets not forget he played very well without the ball in Miami.

Keep it a buck....he couldn't get to the Finals cause Thabo, Perry Jones, Reggie Jackson, Jeremy Lamb, Derek Fisher, and Serge were his running mates for the bulk of the season. He stilled dragged that cast of characters to a #2 seed out West in a year you needed damn near 50 wins just to make it. The 49 wins Dallas had as an 8th seed out West would've been a 3 seed out East.

stats says otherwise
LeBron constantly choking in the 4th and not having even HALF of the killer instinct Kobe had say otherwise.

LeBron's Finals record says otherwise.

OTHER PLAYERS say otherwise.

Stats also said Dan Marino was the greatest QB for a long time....stats are not the be-all, end-all that y'all WANT them to be in order to fit your narratives.

Lets not have revisionist history either though breh. By the end of his run in Miami LeBron WAS doing everything. Especially during the regular season :gucci:

Post season he would guard Tony Parker :manny:

I will say the major difference is that Miami would sometimes keep him in the high post area and cutting to the rim. So he'd score his pints efficiently/quickly. Then he'd be more rested to do all the other things he was asked to do defensively. Less ball handling duties actually allowed for him to rest more and he wasn't having to constantly drive 30 feet from the hoop all game.

But yea those last couple of years LeBron was working extra hard. Even in 2012 Wade was missing a lot of games as well.
Wade was missing games in the 2012 post-season?

Either way, having someone like wade REALLY did help. Wade would always find him in his sweet spots when he was cutting and dashing.

Plus that was LBJ's game. When Wade decided deferring to LBJ was the best route, majority of the scoring duty went to LBJ. Even in 2012/2013 Wade was pushed to the side, and he still did what he could offensively, without stepping on LBJ's toes. Folks wanna act like lbj carrying the scoring load in miami, was just due to having teammates who were incapable. LBJ just plays better when he's in control of the offense, so Wade took a step back for the team's sake. Last year we saw a 34yr old wade almost lead Miami to an eastern conference finals while averaging 31ppg in the playoffs. In those LBJ year's, Wade did what he could as a 2nd option, when he was still capable of being a first option. We saw what happened to LBJ when he was relegated to option number 2 in the finals. His ppg decreases to 18....

:hubie:

I hope LBJ gets gifted with a KD transcendent type player, and see how well he can cede total control to that player so he could rest. LBJ loves carrying the load, and his Cleveland teams are constructed to surrounding him with shooters, so he can be the chief playmaker/scorer.

Reggie Jackson was no scrub, Serge still start playing like shyt like to last year.

Keep it a buck....KD should have found a way to win one game while up 3-1

You can hang your hat on that narrative if you want, but that's not the tone of my conversation. Buddy tried to act like during KD MVP season, he somehow failed his team by not making the Finals. That roster isn't getting anyone to the Finals.

Now to address your line about last year, if you feel that way, then fine. I agree. 3-1 should be almost automatic. Now the flip side to that is this, are we gonna use this line of thinking across the board with everyone, or is this just a KD thing? Cause we're staring a 16-0 playoff run in the face and Bron is the only one who can stop it......is he a failure if he doesn't at least get a game? We saw Iverson drag Eric Snow, Aaron McKie, Raja Bell, Mutumbo, etc to a win against the last "greatest team ever". Transcendent stars should be good for 1 game, no?

That's the stat that says Robert Horry is better than anyone else in this era.

LeBron not winning a game would be a letdown :ld:

I'll say this as well. Iverson got his 1 game because Kobe was garbage in that game 1. Steph and KD have brought it every game. :manny:

But yes no matter how you cut it. If LeBron loses on Friday its a bad stain on his resume.

I never said he was "failure"....just up 3-1 you expect a guy of that talent to close those deals.
