I think Bron is on par with melo tbh. Kobe, Melo and Durant's game may be a lil more prettier, but so is Al Jefferson compared to Duncan, and we know who's more effective

Al Jeffersons game is prettier than Tim Duncan? :heh:

there is a difference between shooting a jumper with the defender giving you mad space cause they're scared of the drive.....versus having a guy right on you with a hand in your face

LeBron gets alot of easy shots because of his ability to drive. That is why his percentages on jumpers look good in comparison to dudes like Durant, Melo, and Kobe who are known as better jump shooters. Plus, LeBron rarely takes tough shots which helps his percentages while we all know Kobe's never met a shot he wouldn't wanna take.

All in all this is a classic examples of numbers lying or at least not telling the whole truth. Anyone who has watched the games knows that shot for shot, LeBron ain't seeing guys like Melo, Durant, or Kobe. He just makes better decisions on when to shoot and because of his incredible ability to drive the ball, he gets more room on his jumpers.

SO the fact that Lebron makes a high percentage of jump shots does not prove he's a good jump shooter.

Honestly, some of you need to die.

:comeon: watch the games

Kobe takes WAY MORE difficult jumpers than LeBron. He rarely ever has the sort of looks LeBron gets on his jumper. Defenses are so scared of LeBron's ability to drive that they are more than willing to give him a easy look at a jumper because they know they can't stop him when he puts his head down.

As a result, you can't compare percentages and claim one is better than another because players aren't always shooting the same shots. There is a difference between taking an open 15 foot jumper or taking a 15 foot fadeaway with two guys on you.

There's only one shot in basketball where you can just look at the numbers and decide whether one player is better than another and that is with FREE THROWS. Other than that, you need context.

This, though in general Bron's jumpshot has improved over the past couple of years.

:comeon: You are reaching...the whole point of being a good jumpshooter is knowing when to shoot one. Just because someone passes you the ball doesn't mean you have to shoot it :heh:Y'all can go ahead and keep leaving him open and pay. That is on Kobe and Melo if they want to take stupid shots they can't make.

Off the dribble, he's getting there. Him improving tremendously as a shooter has opened up his whole offensive game. Defenders gotta play him honestly anywhere inside of 25 feet now. But let the casual basketball fans on here tell it and "Bron only muscles his way to the rim, once he can't do that any longer, he'll be trash. Don't know why defenders don't just sag off him, his jumper is garbage."

catch and shoot, I'll take Bosh's midrange spot up J over anyone in the league right now.

:dead: hahaha

But its always funny when people start breaking into the H-O-R-S-E/figure skating rules for the degree of difficulty tryna see how much credit a player should get for a made shot...this is the NBA fools each shot is worth 2 or 3 points, thats it. Thats why they keep score. You play to win the game....

Edit:

And smh at this low key idea that Kobe or Melo or whoever CHOOSE to take tough shots. No they take tough shots cuz those are the only shots they can get in those situations. If they could get to the rim then they would do it...

You mean Kobe takes way more BAD SHOTS than LeBron.

You just said defenses are scared of LeBron driving. That only means he has the complete package and is now unguardable. Can't play up on him or off him.

You're making the arguments but then just ignoring what you, yourself, are pointing out.

:snoop: no one is arguing LeBron ain't a better player right now stupid

of course people are more scared of Bron on the drive....thus giving him easy looks while they ain't as scared of Kobe on the drive so they can crowd him

that still doesn't make Bron the better jump shooter.....give Kobe the same looks he'll hit a higher % than LeBron.....give Bron Kobe's looks and he hits a lower %

this shyt ain't complicated

You sound so ridiculous right now. Kobe taking dumb shot after dumb shot makes him a better jump shooter? Or does that make him a jacker?

You're arguing mathematics and ignoring the obvious and it's making you look pretty pathetic right now.

Is it really that hard to just find these things instead of talking out your ass? For this season, he's a better jumpshooter than both of them, but keep sticking to the same old tired arguments that he can't shoot.
