The year Kobe scored 81, he eclipsed 30 shots in a game 25 times.

I don't see what the blow out part has to do with any of it.

If anything it makes it look bad that Kobe got all those points in a tighter game against a worse team.

I'm not here to argue Kobe vs Lebron really. In my view Lebron is the more complete player.
But anybody worth his salt is gonna score 60+ on 30 shots. And if they don't, they had a bad night.

But scoring 60 points in a game is almost completely dependent upon volume shooting.
If you don't attempt a lot of shots, you don't score a lot of points.
And as the numbers clearly show, Lebron doesn't really attempt a lot of shots very often.

I suppose that depends on whether you want to divide the number of times Kobe shot 30+ by the number of actual 60 point games....and then compare that to the number of times Lebron has shot 30+ times divided by the number of 60 point games.
