And for the record: MJ's All-Defensive 1st Team selection that season was purely on reputation and nothing more. He wasn't even guarding the opposition's best perimeter threat at that age. Nobody should be using that in argument against LeBron.

No lies said by OP.

LeBron has been downright embarrassing on defense this year. Its gotten to the point that I think there's a media conspiracy out there to protect him cause its laughable how Skip is the only one mentioning this.

LeBron is killing his team every night because he plays ZERO defense and nobody is saying anything about it.

Maybe.

But he wasn't as bad as LeBron this year. You can't watch LeBron play defense this season and say that Jordan ever looked that disinterested and lazy.

LeBron has stopped playing defense the last couple of years and has focused all his energy to racking up stats on offense so his line looks good. The guy is not interested in winning. He's only interested in numbers because he knows that the only thing the dumb public pays attention to.

There's no "maybe" about it, MJ didn't deserve it based on ability/defensive play during that season.

Here's the thing - MJ had the luxury of having great defensive guards/wings to shoulder the majority of the reps, as he was no longer capable of playing elite defense, and so he could conserve energy for offense; LeBron doesn't have that luxury (whether that's from his own doing is irrelevant). It's fine to criticize LeBron's defense in a frame of its own, but don't use MJ as a scale as if he went through the same circumstances.

Basically, it's unfair to LeBron to compare him to a version(s) of MJ that didn't exist.
