Yup. As a Bron fan I've never needed him to be seen as the GOAT or better than Jordan. I only needed him to be better than Kobe.
Jordan's career/existence is just too singular and unique. No one can ever match it. He's like Babe Ruth. You can do similar things but he'll never be replaced....

When Lebron passed Kobe my hatred of Kobe mostly disappeared so your second statement does not apply to me. I been rooting for Lebron since the first day I heard about him when we were both still in high school so he wouldn't really be a "proxy" for anything. I guess if we're being real T-Mac was the proxy for Kobe haters...
