LeBron will become underrated overtime as Wilt did because of the criticisms and the unfulfilled success. It's already happening. Dude was just the most efficient player of all time while in Miami. Gonna be fun to see how history treats him.

True on everything you said. What may save Lebron is he is such a talented business man that his off the court deals may help his legacy live on with younger generations.

But he is a prodigy that was suppose to be good so he can never live up to the hype like Shaq and Peyton. But he doesn't have the complexion for the protection like peyton (which gives him the bull shyt media push as the best ever) and lebron doesn't have the daddy legacy that Peyton has.

A nice accomplishment.
Doesn't really mean much considering how young he and some other guys entered the league.

Even at 31, he's got a lot of mileage on those legs.
I don't think he'll stay healthy enough to catch Malone, much less Kareem.

Injuries won't be what stops Lebron. It will be that he just don't care and retired because his paper is so long. Wasn't like Kareem's last couple of years he was a superstar player. Dude only played that long because he was flat broke from people stealing his money so he had to keep playing. Also remember Kareem was a different kat. Dude wanted to be viewed as a thinker and an intelligent dude even before being viewed as a basketball player. He also viewed basketball as preventing him from doing some of the other things in life he always wanted to do. So we could imagine if he didn't get his money tooken this kat may have retired at 35 or 36 and just said the hell with it.

Lebron IQ is high like magic he could play till he is 40 if he wanted and be a PF full time running offense through him like the Lakers did 36 year old magic when he came back. I just think with all.Lebron business ventures he just wouldn't care about playing that long. He has said in countless interviews that the game plan has always been to set himself up for after his sports career (which he is smartly doing).

A couple of things:

- I expect LeBron to maintain a higher ppg average than Nowitzki throughout those years, yes. I don't see LeBron going for 17 in a game in just two seasons. His per 36 minute scoring average right now is basically exactly the same as it was in Miami.

- I expect him to play more minutes and more games than Nowitzki during that period of time (the five years u mentioned)

- Nowitzki is also putting together ANOTHER one of those seasons right now, which I fully expect LeBron to do, to.

Basically, I do expect LeBron to put up more than 7k in the five years after this season. I'm not really going out on a limb. Even Kobe with all of his injuries managed close to 7k points during that five year stretch of his career and thats with two seasons cut short of injuries (35, 6 games..).

I agree.

Bron has also said he expects to play till 40 barring injury.

I look at him in the Karl Malone vain as far as being a physical specimen.

He can if he slows down, you can already see the slip on the defensive end. He can't stay in front of players like he used to in Miami.
