Ultimately there will always be a slight bit of doubt to the former and speculation that it was planted on her but it seems as though that talk has dimmed down.

Unless she comes back and freely admits it or comes back and takes a lie detector test or something we just have to proceed with the evidence at hand.

I think the most plausible scenario is that she forgot it was in there from a previous trip or had previously brought it to Russia without issue and was surprised that she got jammed up this time around. But sure..its theoretically possible that they planted it on her
