This is a dumb non story from the typical ignorant low information voter coli crowd :mjlol:

Lakers are so over the cap that even if this nikka took a $1 contract the lakers would barely have mid level exception money.

Thinking Lebrons contract is stopping them from getting that last piece for “championship contention” is just your run of the mill Klutch Derangement Syndrome that you often see on here

Then who is worth top dollar?? Is Giannis not worth it? Are Jokic and Curry not worth it? Is Luka not worth it??

Do you think they lost because of Bron’s contract or because they literally had no big men they could (or would) play in the series?? Do you think the Lakers would have fared better this season WITHOUT LeBron, and a couple of role players in his place instead??

You people let your hate cloud your judgement. Stop being obtuse.
Yall need to kill that no big man bullshiit, Minny and L.A., had the same amount of guys 6'10 or better. LeBron is heavier than all their bigs, Rudy Gobert been getting clowned on this board forever. If all the Lakers need is a big, then get rid of LeBron. He adds nothing.

Not one person here has said we'll compete for a championship next year if he leaves :laff:

The roster needs an overhaul and it starts with him and his son leaving. They can take that faq JJ with them too

Lakers don’t have any rim protection.

LeBron James is not expected to entertain the possibility of re-signing with the Los Angeles Lakers on a lesser contract should he opt out to become a free agent this offseason, sources tell The Athletic. Last offseason, James became a free agent and was reportedly willing to take less money if the Lakers were able to convince James Harden, DeMar DeRozan, Klay Thompson or Jonas Valanciunas to sign with the team. Because the Lakers didn't sign any of those players, James re-signed at his max.

James is widely expected to remain with the Lakers, but sources close to him and team sources would not rule out the possibility of him finishing his career with another team. Sources say James also has had concerns about the state of the Lakers' roster.

James has a player option for 25-26 worth $52.6 million. James is expected to be named to one of the All-NBA teams this season as he remains one of the NBA's best players at the age of 40.

is this guy something or is he something

Bron is gonna be 2nd team All NBA, fifth or sixth in MVP voting, and is still, by far, the biggest attention magnet in the league; he isn’t the one who should be taking a pay cut anyway.
But at what expense? :francis: He has a negative plus minus on the season and in the playoffs.
Sure he gets his numbers accolades and his money but what do the Lakers get, another 1st rd exit.

He has to be made into a 6th man for the Lakers to be serious about Luka
