Miami is an international destination for many of the world's most lucrative businesses. It's always been that way. Lebron James' presence there has no relevance on the city's economy, unlike a shytty place called Cleveland that actually relies on a basketball player to create jobs.

All tickets claimed for LeBron's homecoming show

The Associated Press
AKRON, Ohio -- LeBron James' Ohio hometown says fans quickly claimed the thousands of tickets available for the homecoming event expected to be his first public appearance in the state since announcing his return to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The free tickets for the Aug. 8 show at InfoCision Stadium in Akron were released Monday and were gone within hours.

Akron spokeswoman Stephanie York won't divulge how many tickets were offered but says demand was overwhelming. She says organizers hope to make more available.

York says the event is more of a show than a party or rally. The stadium holds more than 27,000 people, but it's unclear how much space will be used for the event.

James has created big buzz by returning to Cleveland four years after leaving for the Miami Heat.

To be fair, the man deserves his worth to his employer regardless if he's splitting the atom, or playing basketball.

How you can hate on a man for wanting to return to his hometown is beyond me:snoop:

I know my opinion is about as worthless as a bump on a log but I've never had a problem with him leaving either Cleveland or Miami. I just never liked the underhanded way he goes about conducting that kinda business.

Wade and Bosh were supposed to be his best basketball buddies, he could have let them know ahead of time. A nikka like that couldn't be my homie.

Sounds like a pep rally to me.. Wasn't that one of the main reasons he was so hated for going to the Heat?

Lets see

1-Use mainstream media to get your message across that you've made a "decision"
2-Don't return calls and texts from Riley and Micky Arrison.
3-Refuse to thank the fans in your PR message
4-Allow your former employees to find out you're leaving the same time as everyone else
5-Have an elaborate pep rally in your new city before 1 game is even played.
6-Join with 2 other top tier all stars in their prime to chase a ring

So remind me why 2010 Lebron was a villain and 2014 Lebron is a hero again..

I'm saying tho. This is what I've been saying the entire time.

The guy is shady as shyt. I'm surprised no one has called him out on this yet. I guess everyone is so enamored with the fact that he's going "home"
