Morey basically stated he was against an authoritarian government.

In America, since when was that supposed to be shyt on?
Since America been cashing authoritarian checks.

Can’t have it both ways, then try to throw the burden on brons shoulders.

We all signed that deal. Morey is paid handsomely for the work the NBA does with China.

Morey threw Lebron and the other players under the bus first.

And you can knock someone for saying they want freedom for the oppressed as they cash those oppressive checks.

This was lebron holding him accountable for being reckless in a way players wouldn’t ever get a pass for.

This is cacs finally getting their chance to trash Bron for off the court activities, and your chance to jump in.

Y’all don’t give a shyt about China Morey doesn’t either:camby:
I don't speak on things publicly that I don't give a shyt about. So I would simply say no comment. How did LeBron hold him accountable by saying he was uninformed by saying he supports freedom?

Lebron speaks up on Black issues that directly impact his community such as police killing unarmed blacks. That’s always been his focus, so unless he ignores that for the mighty dollar he didn’t sell out. Let China/Hong Kong sort out there problems.

Somebody just needs to come out and say it

Because it’s way bigger than just “supporting freedom”

Morey said so himself.

“I have had a lot of opportunity since that tweet to hear and consider other perspectives."

Meaning he had been informed on the issue a little better now.

He was misinformed on how his tweet would impact players and the NBA’s standing with China. There was players going and playing over there who his tweet hurt, and then they had to answer for what he said.

And also this issue is way more nuanced than most people commenting on it will admit. People should read this article
Column: Why Daryl Morey's infamous tweet struck such a raw nerve in China

Quick summary of some background info on chinas stance.

Let the cacs and non blacks speak about China. How many cacs are going to risk millions for us????? Not a single cac would do that. When he spoke on our issues he was told to shut up and dribble but when it’s some cac concern now it’s a problem. Fukk Max

Morey deleted the tweet and apologized in an attempt to not fukk up the money further for everyone else.

Do you not get this?

You keep bringing up Morey deleting the tweet as if he did this because he personally couldn't handle the blowback.

Would you have preferred that Morey left the tweet up and it guaranteed that China cuts off the revenue stream which impacts the players?[/QUOTE]

If he really felt so strongly about showing support for Hong Kong then he shouldn’t delete the tweet and stand on his principles. But obviously he didn’t look at the whole situation considering the players were in China at the time(which is Brons whole point of his comment). And y’all coming at Bron for not saying anything about Hong Kong but then giving Morey a pass. I didn’t hear Max call Steve Kerr a sell out or Say Morey sold out. I wonder why..:mjpls:

Bron shouldn't have said shyt if he wanted to save his "social activist" image, NBA executives are probably very happy about this, one of their most popular players diminishing Morey's tweet. This will make situation for them between china a lil better. They gon use bunch of tv shows to shyt on Bron how he's a hypocrite and I wouldn't be surprised if some trade happened in the middle of season as a thank you, watch some bum ass team giving lakers a quality role player for nothing.

None of them are ready to lose chinese money over hong kong. Have you seen anyone supporting Morey when he made the tweet? Everyone was waiting for Adam Silver to speak on it :mjlol:

China is just one of the many countries doing foul shyt. That ain’t our business, America always trying to be the moral police to the world when there is so many issues going on here. Can’t fix another problem when you ain’t solved your own.

Be such a Lebron dikkrider that you think China's a bastion of justice, brehs. :dead:

They've killed literally millions of their own people, and continue to harvest organs of specific religious groups. shyt they almost gave that Ball kid 10 years just for stealing a handbag. Ai Wei Wei is the most famous chinese artist, and they put him under house arrest for nothing...

I knew that I should've retired from 2019 coli when people started saying 'slam ass' lol
You idoit where did i say China's a bastion of justice?

Where talking about hong Kong protest ... Take your time to read next time buddy. You dont even know anything thats happening but want to act like you know something

Also the organ harvesting is fake news and started by the right wing religious cult who believe Trump is God... Dummy
