Why does he need that to surpass Bird though. He's already got the same amount of Finals MVP's as Bird and one more regular season MVP as well.

Bird faced much tougher competition and bron needs to attone for 2011 finals.

I think he has atoned for it with two straight titles. Of course it will always be over his head but Magic and Bird had moments when they weren't at there best in the playoffs and we don't hold it against them when rating them.

I wont argue with you cause I never saw Connie Hawikins play (not sure if you have either) and Dr J was the man but if im choosing im still gonna take Bron. You act like Bro is not skilled and doesn't have an excellent basketball IQ. At that size with his skillset and passing ability I believe Bron would fit in and be a great player in any era.

if bron had trouble beating the spurs and the mav's.
he would have been mentally owned by the celt's with bird.
if that celt's team had len bias, he would be good.
yet, bias would have schooled him, breh.
as, bias was definately a higher iq ballplayer and executioner.
bias, was jordan's only equal rival in the history of basketball.

bron is my favorite current player and when he goes away.
i probably won't have a favorite player to make me watch bball.
yet, he is completely lacking in basketball iq, in relation to the other gens.
just the fact, he won't play his natural is proof.
when, if we thought he was great now.
he would be even better playing his natural.
plus, it would slide bosh to his natural.
as bosh does not have the ferocity, to play the four or the five spot.
if bron had that type of next level basketball iq.
he would easily get that and have never moved from the one spot.

right now, bron just plays a suped up pippen at point forward.
when, if his basketball iq was as high as the gen, magic and bird came up in.
or, even relateable to the ABA, he would take advantage of that just off size differential and footspeed.
not to mention intangibles, and an ability to change the game back to a high iq based sport.

bron, conforming to the three is very telling of how low his basketball IQ is.

magic would have never settled to play the three, full time, NEVER!!

bron is not on the level of the full talent that magic and bird had.
let alone a person like connie hawkins.
connie hawkins completely revolutionized post offensive play.

bron is not doing anything remotely close to hawkins, as a ball player.

I never say Bias play so I don't know how high is B-Ball IQ was but Bron has one of the highest B-Ball iq's that I have ever head. You can say what you want but Bron is as talented as any player that has ever played the game. He's not just balling out and dominating with brute strength. The man is very skilled and to say he is not as talented as Bird Magic or Hawkins is something that I just cant agree with. So I guess we agree to disagree on this one Art.

currently, lebron is my favorite player, so, i can live with that.
i just know he is missing cogs of the game.
other had in key areas, that if bron had.
it would not be as significant of a struggle over his career to take out certain teams.

so are you basing off just who you seen play?

so is wade in ur top 5? :dead: :shaq2:

thats the only legit way to compare players who played in different eras against different opponents. we can argue about who has a better resume. thats what i do when i make my top 5/10 lists.

but if we talkin bout who better than who, i only do that for dudes whose entire careers i've watched. so my top 5 is:

1. Kobe
2. Shaq
3. Duncan
4. McGrady
5. LeBron
