And he's not even really "great" in the post yet... now imagine what a great post player with even average vision does... :ohhh:

We've already seen what a very good post player can do with great court vision.. That's Kevin Garnett. :leon:

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
Sure, Memphis would most likely benefit from surrounding zach and marc with better shooters but the offense still probably wouldn't be top 10, which is should be based on individual talent.

Agree to disagree. If you don't believe that the rule changes between 97-2005 has something to do with big men not being as effective you're delusional. I don't think you understand the series of rules that were implemented between this period of time. The five second back to the basket rule, defensive three seconds, zone, no hand checking, the infamous shaq rule.. Like I'm saying, there's a reason why wing players points averages have gone up while big men have dipped.. it's a guards game. As someone who's used to euro basketball.. I can tell you that NBA lanes are basically wide open for guards to penetrate in. It's a totally different game really. That's why NBA game is more ISO than ever and euro ball is all about moving the ball.

Shaq averaged 18ppg at the age of 36, it's not the rules, they are an easy scapegoat but the real issue is big men coming into the league long before they are ready. Also, wings averaged a ton of points in the 80s and 90s, they had to implement the hand check rules because the defense was getting entirely too good because of the zone and we were starting to see way too many 75 to 81 games. It was a matter of checks and balances, those Pistons vs Pacers series were the last straw.

appreciate the man's greatness, you ungrateful c*nts

you'll see plenty of other ballhogs come in and put up 30 points on 10-27 shooting nightly

but you'll never this blend of size, power, speed, athleticism, agility, accuracy, efficiency, skills and basketball IQ ever again

Realest post in this whole thread.....

:manny: I don't know what else to tell you. Agree to disagree I guess. :manny:

The Pistons - Pacers series wasn't really the last straw though, scoring had declined for over 10 years.. if anything was the last straw it was Detroit beating LA in the finals. Stern hated that.. Not to mention Spurs the year before that.

Brolic... Alcoholics
Hard to believe but he's getting better.

Me and my pops was having a conversation about him yesterday. Scariest thing is in about 4 yrs he'll probably make that permanent move to the 4 and still have 8 more years of dominance.

I'm a huge Kobe fan but I love this game too much to be a Stan. Lebron will be the best basketball player ever.

:manny: I just feel it's a matter of development, like just look at these two kids and ask yourself which is more likely to have a back to the rim game by the time they hit the league -

Bird played the 3.

I said Dirk is respect worthy.

That Pistons team wasn't built around Sheed.

And KG is terrycloth, that means very soft :bryan:

I'll counter with Shaq having more rings than Dirk, Sheed and KG combined. :ooh:

Outside of Dirk, nobody has been successful building around a big man that relies on the jumper first and foremost. Having a PF that can hit them is fine if he's not your best player, but building a team around a jumpshooting big isn't wavey and has proven difficult to win with.

Your respect for Dirk warms my heart, you sir are a saint and a scholar :wow:

That's my PF :to:
