Kevin Durant vs. LeBron James | Basketball-Reference.com

Durant plays well against LeBron

Westbrook on the other hand....

LeBron James vs. Russell Westbrook | Basketball-Reference.com

It's a lazy, fan made narrative to suggest Durant is owned by LeBron in any shape or form. He competes as well against him as anyone in this league

When you've got two of your biggest rivals who also happen to be 2 of da top 3 basketball playas in da world...bof whom you've beat needin to join forces in order to take you down, you've already won. Lol :manny:
But Steph has already beaten LeBron tho....

:patrice:

Sure KD, hasn't gotten over that hump, But Steph has. LBJ's legacy had more at stake against GS in this past finals, than Steph did. What LBJ did last year, doesn't erase what steph and the Warriors did in 2015. If GS wins this year, it's 2-1 Steph.

:manny:

Steph has proven he doesn't need KD to beat LeBron. KD is the "Loser" in all of this.

if anything, steph winning last year was invalidated by the fact that the warriors were pushed to 6 games by lebron and a bench player in Delly. Cavs would have won the entire thing last season with Love and Kyrie. Steph has gone 2 years in row without any finals mvp votes:mjlol:

I think the more interesting thing about that article (the original one from Cleveland.com) was how it described all the teams that tried to gear up against LeBron only to get wrecked and have the team broken up.

The Celtics were the team that LeBron teamed up with the Heat to beat and he ended up beating them twice while also breaking the Big Three up by recruiting Ray Allen. He then beat Pierce and KG again while they were with the Nets and low key broke that whole experiment up too.

The Bulls had MVP Rose, Noah and later Butler along with a great coach in Thibodeau and LeBron wrecked them three times (four if you include his first time with Cleveland). The Bulls insisted that they never got a proper rematch with LeBron after 2011 since Rose was hurt, but in 2015 the Bulls were relatively healthy and the Cavs were at their weakest yet LeBron still beat them, which resulted in Thobedeau, Rose and Noah all leaving within a year.

The Pacers lost to LeBron three straight times from 2012-2014 and even made a big deal about gaining homecourt advantage in 2014, only to have the LeBron beat them even easier than the year before. After that series David West was even conceding that the Pacers "can't beat him" referring to LeBron. George gets hurt and the team as constructed was broken up not long after (West, Hibbert, Vogel all gone).

The Hawks had the #1 seed 2015 and were considered to be on the rise before LeBron swept them basically by himself, then swept them again a year later. Teague and Horford leave and now the Hawks are back to being considered a treadmill team. Hawks are also 0-12 all time in the playoffs against LeBron.

Warriors beat LeBron in 2015 but he put on a legendary performance and the Warriors didn't get much credit for the championship because LeBron was basically playing 1 on 5. Feeling disrespected, the Warriors go on a historic run winning 73 games with the intent to defeat a healthy Cavs squad to silence all the doubters, only to suffer the ultimate ether by being the first team to blow a 3-1 lead in the Finals while having homecourt advantage. LeBron puts up another legendary performance and removes all doubt about who the best player in the world is.

That's not even mentioning the Thunder who broke up their big three of Durant, Westbrook and Harden after losing to LeBron. This started the chain reaction that eventually lead to Durant's departure from Oklahoma City.

Another thing I find interesting is how LeBron has not lost to the Dallas Mavericks since losing to them in the Finals, like he makes it a point to beat them.
The Warriors won in 2015. A W is a W. Why we gotta deduct points from Steph and company, because Cleveland wasn't healthy? Steph and The Warriors vs LBJ is 1-1. KD has more to prove than Steph and the other Warriors. Already folks are preemptively trying to cheapen any potential KD/Warriors championship victory vs The Cavs this upcoming season.

If a nikka beat yo ass in a fight when you were already on crutches, would you consider dat a W and give him unblemished props for it? :patrice:

And how is it "cheapenin" thier championship by statin da obvious about thier roster being so comically stacked to da point whurr dayum near 95% of thier competition havin a chance of victory actually becomes laffable? Cmon, breh.:heh:

This all so damn convenient.

LBJ gets to the finals with a banged up squad in 2015. Since he wasn't favorited to win, the team who beat him and the best player on that team get no credit. The very next year LBJ comes with a healthy squad, and wins. And everything the warriors and Steph have done from 2014 til today is invalidated. Nevermind Dray missed a game. Nevermind Bogut being banged up. We really doing this...

You play who's in front of you with what you have. When has having a stacked team, been an a valid reason to not give credit where credit is due? The history of the NBA is laden with stacked teams. Let's let 2016-2017 play out. If Steph plays like trash again, and KD gets an FMVP, than all credit to KD. If LBJ wins again, than KD(and Steph's) legacy are looking shadier. Why preemptively cast shadows and asterisks over any potential Warriors victory?

KD was obviously too much of a bytch to go to the east and beat out LeBron so he went to ride Curry's jock.

As another dude mentioned the Bulls, Nets, Pacers, Hawks all tried to dethrone Bron lead teams but failed.

Y'all saw how different Kyrie playing changed the series last year but it's a reach to say it would have changed the 2015 finals outcome?

The only person in front of LeBron all time is MJ and arguably Kareem, and if he beats this current Warrior team in the future shyt is gonna get serious.

Debate Max Kellerman, not me.
