The Spurs had five players in double figures in the Finals, the vast majority of their players with significant minutes scored 50% shooting or better outside of Parker and Diaw who was 2nd in rebounding and led them in assists off the bench. Miami had 3 double figure players, 3 of the 8 players with significant playing time shot 33% or worse, Ray at 41.5%. Spurs shot well over 46% from 3 as a team. +5.6 rebound margin and +5.2 assist margin for the Spurs. Gregg Popovich >>> Erik Spoelstra, and the Heat were no longer a team able to trump that coaching with talent & ability. Long story short, the Spurs were the better and deeper team. LeBron was able to produce, his team wasn't. San Antonio as a whole was on one.
Wade was not in his prime in 2011-13. I will say this as many times as necessary. LeBron was the best player in Miami since day 1 in Miami...Wade still averaged over 25 that year and people were bringing up a 1A/1B narrative because the "LeBron isn't clutch" thing was still going on. Wade's numbers fell after that because he did, LeBron shed the choking rep because 1) his ability, 2) there was no more 1A/1B possibly. Then there should be no need to bring up "harsh realities" because most people on here who are fans of him work within it, at least as much as possible. LeBron does shyt I don't always care for (could've stayed in Miami, lobbying for horrible contracts for TT/JR/Shump, not keeping team chemistry issues as in-house as possible) but as far as on-court play and success/failure he seems to never be given any context other greats are afforded, or fans/stans of other greats act as if their favorites never failed like they didn't see first round knockouts. Most LeBron fans/stans do not have him over Jordan, at most you'll see arguments over who they'd take in some fantasy draft but not too many push him over Mike on the GOAT debate because the GOAT debate is based on resume. Nobody, or at the very least nobody pro-LeBron, brought up Jordan in this thread but you so I guess you've revealed who you actually do "stan".

I bring dirk up not to shame lebron for 2011 but to shut down the "lack of help" and the "you need more talent to win a championship nowaday" if dirk can do it no excuse for lebron
the spurs had multiple players contributing because they played an equal opportunity ball sharing i'll pass on a good shot to get my teammates a better one offense...not because they had better players than the heat....had lebron sacrificed some of his numbers and bought in that kind of system there's no doubt in my mind he'd have enjoyed more team success....
to argue that wade was in his prime from 2011-2014 is just semantics....even if he wasn't he still put more than adequate numbers for a 2nd option playing next to a high usage player so no excuse there either

LeBron is the only player in his prime asked to "sacrifice" numbers for players like Norris Cole, who isn't in the league, Rashard Lewis, who isn't in the league, Ray Allen, who was in his final year, Mario Chalmers, who can't even start on a tanking Grizzlies team. The Spurs had he better team. If you think those players were a better cast than what San Antonio had I don't know what to tell you.
We've already established Wade was a great 2nd option. Wade in his prime is far beyond a great 2nd option.
Being a GOAT tier player does not mean literally being THE GOAT...LeBron is top 3, which out of the number of men to sign to an NBA roster, is A GOAT level...and a player who couldn't average 20 PPG isn't ahead of him. Sorry.

Im sure a guy like prime chris bosh could've contributed more than 16 pts and would've enjoyed getting the ball in his prefered spot instead of being just a spot up shooters...and you put guys like patty mills and boris diaw and ginobili on the heat instead of chalmers allen and lewis and im sure you'd be here today telling me how shytty they were...........they Spurs were the better team because the players they were put in a position where they could contribute not relegated to being spot up shooters for lebron

Let me show how bias and media hype creates bullshyt arguments and narratives:
When he retired, Kobe Bryant was the ONLY player in NBA history to have 30k points, and both 7k rbs and 6k assists. He also was all NBA Defensive First Team Nine Times. Lebron, if I'm not mistaken, achieved this five times.
Kobe achieved these numbers, despite playing his first eight seasons with the most dominant physical presence since Wilt Chamberlain. Even then, he didn't start his first two season.
Now, despite certain handicaps that made putting up all-time great numbers considerably more difficult, he still achieved those numbers.
Why isn't Kobe ever said to be better than Jordan or top three to five?
Kobe is 5 for 7 in the Finals.
He put up all-time great numbers, and he won more than he loss.
Yet, with Lebron, the only argument they will bring up is, he will have better numbers than Jordan.
Kobe's totals ended up being higher than Jordan's, just like Lebron's will.
Jordan average thirty, and Lebron won't average 30, obviously. Lebron has rebounding and assists. Jordan won Defensive Player of the Year, and Lebron never did. Jordan has more All-NBA Defensive Teams. Most importantly, if Jordan made it to the Finals, he won.
What am I saying?
Why are stats used to prove Lebron is better than Jordan, but stats aren't enough to prove Kobe is better, as good, or very close to Jordan like people claim with Lebron?
What is going to happen is, Kobe's career is going to be nitpicked, like I can't nitpick Lebron's career to death. They ALL have things that can be picked at.
But for Kobe to not even be in most people's top 5, when he has the numbers, and the Defensive Awards that showed he was elite on both sides of the ball - proves that most of these All-Time Rankings come down to who the media anoint and who they do not.

Because he Knows his team will be in real danger of not qualifying for the playoffs and even if they did, the road to the final will be much tougher. he's a smart guy (or p*ssy depending on your interpretation) taking the easiest path to success by playing his entire career in the trash ass east.
With the proposed change, he knows he will have to face teams like GSW,Rockets, OKC, spurs, wolves, trailblazers etc on his way to the final. who needs all the extra work when you can just feast on weaklings in the east instead
