Right there was when any free agent even thinking about going to Cleveland completely changed their mind. I will say this, if Lebron were to go back and play for Cleveland, someone might decide to join him, but it would be someone who is from the region originally, like a Greg Oden, or some other player that is from the Big Ten conference.

like dude said, nikkas took for granted just how hard bron played on every side of the court. 548 games avg. 28 7 7 and being the franchise player since 17 of his home state and he never had anyone on his team avg, 20 points during any season there. not to mention carrying them to the playoffs and avg. 30 8 7...

Cleveland was 66-16... The heat were 66-16.. I don't think the cavs as a team was that bad. Miami shouldn't have won the finals this year the Spurs GAVE them game 6. Was one of the worst coaching decisions ever at the end of the game.
But what this line of think comes across that will never be explained is when lebron needed someone anyone to step up no one did. It was to easy to just trap lebron and force him to pass. Mo Williams got roasted in two straight playoff years by rondo and KG was killing Jamison. Where was the damn help? When you as a player are averaging 38-8-8 or 31-7-6 and still lose something has to be wrong that what I don't understand when people say that team was good. It was good during the season but when teams can focus on one player at all times they don't respect the other on your team that's when you can say that's a one man team.

That same Boston team Cleveland lost to would have done the SAME THING to the Heat. That Spurs team that swept the cavs probably would have beat the heat, hell they almost did it and 2 of their players are past their prime. Cleveland could have had any PF wasn't nobody gonna stop KG back then.

Maybe someone would've made the jump to Cleveland had he been commited to staying. Who's gonna go to the Cavs when the franchise player is signing 3-year contracts?

I always :heh: when nikkas talk about Cleveland's record back then as if it had any bearing on how prepared they were to compete for championships. They were the prototypical regular season team. Not to mention it's not like the Heat were firing on all cylinders during the playoffs this year. Wade was hobbled and Bosh was well i don't the fukk was going on with Bosh but he wasn't playing like a perennial all-star. If they had a healthy Wade and greater more consistent contributions from Bosh they probably dominate the postseason. Even with those guys playing subpar they still stepped up when it counted which is more than you can say for any of those other Cavs back then.
