100% with him on this.

The European system is great but would NBA teams want that? While they could get these guys younger and develop them into better players, that's costly. Plus, the Knicks, Lakers, Heat, Bulls, Clips and Warriors could sign up all the best talent and hoard them. Overall that's better than the fukking NCAA.

They're essentially getting a talent every year without paying for them.
not true. I think hometown teams would play a bigger role in this kind of scenario, the way they play a role in college recruitment

Yes, teams would love to be able to get a kid into their farm system at 13, especially the teams with the better scouting & development.

They would need to structure it so that a team can have no more than 3 farm players at a time, and all of their tutoring has to be taken care of by the team.

its easy for LeBron to back ending the one and done. he needs to talk to the rest of the vets who are trying to hold down a job and don't want some younger cheaper guy coming along and taking it, because that's who the players union represents and theres more of those types than there are lebrons

I love our breh. But he gets credit fir twking the easiest stances. :russ:
the problem with this logic is that these stances are easy to nikkas without power...nikkas that dont have they money tied in with the same companies and partners they denouncing. Im sure NBA has a closer partnership with the NCAA, and hes indirectly hurting a source of his money by hurting the NCAA

if it was an easy stance, everyone from college would be saying "man I got paid, we all get paid, the NCAA is fukked up for making it "illegal" " But you hurting pockets when you do that

What’s worse is the FBI took THIS long to start investigating, yet they won’t go after a Nick Saban, Coach K etc

Any dominant collegiate program should be investigated. Theres a reason kids wanna go there.

Im 100% Sure 17 year old kids are prioritizing coaching, /s

This is the truth.

When a 4 or 5-star athlete chooses to go to Alabama KNOWING he's gonna be 3rd/4th string AT BEST, you have to ask questions. Elite athletes are gonna shine regardless, so I'd rather get playing time and go to a "good" squad then be stuck twiddling my thumbs.

That's valid.

Hometown's will be huge but teams with the greatest resources would be able to eat very well unless there are caps on what they can offer or if there are homegrown rules. That's happening in Europe.

Hometown rules could hurt a Utah or Milwaukee too.

The good organizations yes but you have so many owners who want to cut cost as much as possible.

The current system is a good deal for NBA teams. They get more ready made products and surer things since they're coming in 19/20 versus managing their development at 13, 14, and 15.

rule of thumb is that generally if they get involved, things got out of hand.

They’ll also have to expand the draft or have a separate supplemental or prospect draft for younger prospects :ohhh:
