LeBron is in a pretty unique position because he doesn't really have anyone on his team or in the NBA on his level and he's got a great team in his prime. No need to worry about beating 50 wins. Those conditions cost Shaq and Kobe some MVPs IMO.

The level he's at right now, it would take a prime top 10 player to match him.

Only thing that cost Shaq was coasting through the regular season every year. He could have easily put up the 28 and 15, that he states are the numbers of a dominant big man, each year and won numerous MVPs in the process. Kobe really had no chance with Shaq being on his team.

The crazy thing is going into this season, you know the press were ready to vote for someone else. Like okay he got his ring and 3 MVPs, Im sure he'll chill and some next dude will be hungry. And they were! Durant had an MVP year, same with Melo.

But Lebron STILL had such good season it couldnt really be denied even by contraian view that someone else held it down because he just separated himself from the pack.
