I'm from Memphis and I didn't take offense to it. People are way too emotional over something that they know is true. The hotel scene here sucks ass. Alot of the folks from Memphis whining don't even want to stay in the hotels downtown so why do they think a billionaire wants to lol. At one point they were going to build a Grand Hyatt downtown on the river but the plans fell through. But this is something that players, touring artists, and travelers have complained about for a while. You want to have big things happen in the city but you don't realistically have the infrastructure to support it at the moment

Lebron is one of the fakest most contrived athletes to ever to do. This man was on a golf course, in his code switching voice (that he never talks in) in front of his white friends talking trash about blackest city in Tennessee and how they need to move the Grizzlies. We know Lebron doesn't give a damn about Nascar, Vanderbilt nor Hockey but somehow that's the selling point for moving the team to Nashville for him. There's nothing authentic about this man at all from pretending to read Malcolm X to lying about predicting Kobe's 81 point game and it's why it's always been very difficult for me to truly be a fan of him despite how amazing he is on the court.

With Bron everything is measured and calculated.

On one hand you admire how he was able to take over the sports machine and manipulate it. It’s what made him the most powerful man in sports. He controlled the narrative not the media.

On the other hand it made him come off as inauthentic...he became the damn machine. Everything he says narrative based which comes of as self serving sometimes

Him saying “the block” is what sealed the championship is an example of some self serving shyt by him because it was Kyrie who hit the coldest shot in nba history and then Love had a legendary stop on Curry. How was it only his play that mattered?

The Block was the GOAT finals play but what sealed the championship was the block/shot/stop and thats just history. Bron saying “the block is what sealed the chip” and downplaying his teammates is what puts him in these positions where people call him disingenuous.

It's wild because his teammates see through the fake shyt.

Russell Westbrook saw it first hand with Lebron while playing with the Lakers during a meeting with Will Smith.

What's next, NASCAR? For such a great player (and family man), he's a goofball.

and you think it'll improve the local economy if they lose their NBA team?

I recall Joakim Noah trashing the “black” city of Cleveland and everyone chuckled:mjlol:

While playing for the black city of Chicago

:skip:

nobody thinks of black people when they think of Cleveland they think of fat cacs.

It’s what made him the most powerful man in sports

He's not. If he was than FSG would have no qualms about buying a team in Vegas with Bron as the face.

MJ just sued a redneck racing corporation and won.

Magic actually was able to get ownership of the Lakers and flip it to the being apart part owner of Dodgers, Sparks, LAFC, Commanders, and Washington Spirit.

Tom Brady successfully assumed power of a pro team in Vegas through minority ownership

David Beckham running Miami FC.

And that's just in the US.

I appreciate you trying to be objective in your post but even then you managed to spread the klutch propaganda. He's never been the most powerful man in sports.
