I would consider the Lakers a dark horse to form some type of big 3 including Kobe and 2 others. Whether its Melo, Lebron or Love remains to be seen. But I wouldnt be shocked to see 2 out of the 3 names on the Lakers next year. I dont see them having any problem moving Nash along with their Draft pick to create over $30 Million in Cap Space.

I wouldnt be shocked to see Melo and Bron take paycuts to play in LA, now and in the future.

Kobe was interviewed yesterday at the World Cup, speaking about his $48 million dollar contract. Basically said it was to show other free agents in the future the Lakers would take care of them when the time came for them to be paid. So im guessing that was a hint to other free agents to take a paycut this summer, and when Kobe is off the books in 2 years, you will be compensated handsomely. Why? Because we have done it before. Lebron and Melo would be 34,35 when their next contracts are up. Lakers already laid the blueprint down, if they produce they will see the money they lost on the front end.

Had riley been coaching the heat they would be up 3-2 and looking for a 4 peat on tuesday.
Ask most people if they think Spo is a good coach and they'll be like naw. My lil cousin said he could have coached the heat and made it to the playoffs and he's 12. You have to be an idiot to not realize that roster took them to the finals in spite of Spo.

"I thought it was pretty funny. I thought it was pretty comical actually," Bryant said. "I see his perspective. But the one perspective that he’s missing from an ownership point of view is that you want to be part of an ownership group that is rewarding its players for what they’ve done while balancing the team going forward. If you’re another player in the future and you’re looking at the Lakers organization, you want to be a part of an organization that takes care of its players while at the same time planning for the future."

Im not saying the Bron and Melo is a certainty, im just saying I wouldnt be shocked if they came together. The Lakers plan was to pair Dwight, Kobe and Chris Paul. 3 of the best players at their position at that time. I dont think they have given that dream up. Lebron has never had an opportunity to turn down Magic Johnson, Kobe and the Lakers. He does now. Ball is in his court. I dont think he does.

this has been planned since 2011. this article is from oct 2012

in the words of the GREAT JERRY BUSS

“Yeah, depending on the free agents that year,” Buss said. “We would basically, money-wise, be able to sign the top free agent – maybe even two. I don’t know the numbers exactly, because we’re not privy to what the cap is and how much room we have, but it’s going to be close to two of the top free agents that year.”

that was the problem with spo. He was stubborn with his rotations, he was cerebral, but he never commanded the respect of the players imo. I know deep down LeBron thought of him like :rudy: who is this dumb gook trying to tell me what to do :shaq2:

Spo is like the stringer bell of coaches, he talks the part, but he's not quite smart enough to be in the top tier with x's and o's and he's not quite tough enough to inspire and command respect from the players.

For years we've questioned the heat's heart but never questioned their talent. I think if riles was the coach he would've inspired the fukk out of them
