Change is inevitable...
I feel like early foul trouble is a key game plan for the Cavs against GS...and trying to stop LeBron isn't gonna be worth all thatwhy do you feel that way?
Or maybe I'm underrating GS's defense

im gonna disagree with you here playboiTristan can't guard Durant, that's BBQ chicken. I think Smith will guard him, and LeBron will guard him in the 4Q. LeBron will be chasing Klay off screens and guarding Green/switching to Steph when put in as a small ball 4 too. All in all you'll probably see LeBron spent some time on everyone.
I love how LeBron's defense is being disrespected here. 2.1 steals, 1.4 blocks, 3.3 defensive box plus minus, Cavs 16 points worse defensively when he's off the floor per 100 possessions in the '17 Playoffs.
Paul George vs. LeBron: 8 of 20 (40%), 4 turnovers
DeMar DeRozan vs. LeBron: 4 of 13 (30%), 2 turnovers
Obviously, LeBron is 32 and playing 40+ minutes shouldering a huge offensive load so he can't be on the best scorers all game. J.R. Smith defends big time scorers well and takes some pressure off LeBron.

KD is an animal, he gonna get buckets no matter who is on him. Also, yeah I agree the Cavs defense as a whole is much worse than last year. In all aspects from rim protection to help defense. I just don't like the narrative that LeBron is "scared" to guard KD and all he does is ball watch, he's an impact defender still. DeRozan just spoke on it in the Raptors series. The Cavs defense is concerning for the Finals though, I just want another classic series not a blow out like the Spurs and Heat Finals from a few years back.im gonna disagree with you here playboi
lebron physically has all the tools to be dominant defensively and he is at times....but that cavs off ball defense...with respect to guarding their own man is very bad
from love to kyrie to lebron
lebron chasing klay around doesnt suit his strengths defensively....bron loves defending players that arent running around...coming off screens and shyt...so he can ball watch...play passing lanes, destroy simple pick and rolls with help defense and get into transition..cause kyrie and bron on the break are unstoppable
they were letting every one on the celtics get simple ass backdoors off....and with an offense that seeks weak points and easy baskets as much as the warriors do...it might get ugly my nikka
its also disrespectful to bring up those stats with respect to KD
he's a different animal...and already gave a lebron led team a light 30 in the finals.
of course not...physically lebron would pose probably the best challenge of slowing him down. Ultimately no one is slowing down KD but himself.KD is an animal, he gonna get buckets no matter who is on him. Also, yeah I agree the Cavs defense as a whole is much worse than last year. Is this the same or different offense they ran last season? The main thing on defense is how will Cleveland handle ball movement. They can barely handle the Celtics when they run screens, dives, back cuts etc. gonna be a lot of Lebron finger pointing![]()
Watch the games before you post this nonsense. It really is. Like Steph/KD don't do the exact same thing and have the luxury to gamble on blocks n steals. At least LeBron earned his stripes as a more than capable defender in his younger days (a tad overrated tho). Askabout what happened in 2011. LeBron is better roaming nowadays
Don't Dame/CJ and Wall/Beal routinely have good games against GS because they can't hide Curry? Wasn't KD just getting cooked by Simmons 1-on-1 Games 1-3 to the point Draymond had to guard him starting off in Game 4?
Y'all gotta apply these arguments to other players as well
Tristan can't guard Durant, that's BBQ chicken. He can stay with PG's because he has good quick feet and covers ground well but KD is a 7 footer that handles like a guard. I think Smith will guard him, I think RJ will get some time on him, and LeBron will guard him in the 4Q. It was bad coaching by Kerr tbh. They patched it up in game 7 and Steph didnt get in those situations. It was too late by then though
It's a lot different when you have Kevin Durant running it as opposed to Harrison Barnes. If leave KD open all series like they did Barnes last year, they'll lose by 25 every gameIs this the same or different offense they ran last season?
But it's the same offense basically, just different personnel at some positions. Who in they right mind is going to leave Durant open all game? It's a lot different when you have Kevin Durant running it as opposed to Harrison Barnes. They were getting cooked. Harrison Barnes shot being off all series was the real difference maker. I mean clean looks! The same with Celtics now. Cavs' D has been suspect but it's about converting. Is this the same or different offense they ran last season?
Simmons was hitting well defended shots but supreme talent prevailed.Watch the games before you post this nonsense.
