I mean shyt, was he not? He defended the primary threat on the other team for most of the offs and when they played someone too tall for JR (KD), he went off. IDK how to make the argument that JR was the best cause I’m lazy, but you could SEE he was the primary defender at least
I see your point.Wasnt LeBron guarding KD during finals and was one getting torched?

And got torched but this year has he improved?Outside of chasedown blocks, steals etc
From what I’ve seen, he has more periods of time where he’s actually engaged than last regular season. We been saying for a minute when Bron seriously tries he’s a good defender and there’s a few good examples like him defending Giannis and Porzingis late in their most recent matchups. No statistic grades him out as a good defender per se, but much like his 4th quarter scoring, he can get up and actually lock up a bit when it’s required of him.

I haven’t watched every Cleveland game this year (about 8 I’d say) but it’s been chopped up to where I feel I can say Bron’s issues tied in to the issues the unit as a whole. He was often reluctant to switch, get back on turnovers he committed, or play sufficient help D (or attempt to close out on shooters). It’s a lot like how the first 2 games were for Cleveland in the finals. Much like that series, they got severely better over this winning stretch by simply TRYING. Same applies to Bron, although I believe he’s still a minus 1.4
