The thing is even folks who work jobs pace them self. Talk to any blue collar worker who been doing their job for 10 to 20 to 30 years and they even say they pace themselves because they will burn out.
Professional folks pace them selves when working overtime on big projects. They might say well I pace myself until mid week then hit it hard because if I don't I will burn my self out by Wednesday.
I mean pacing your self is done in all walks of life. From sports to regular shyt. Hell even decathlon and race cyclist pace themselves until the final stages.
