ya'll nikkas getting emotional for no reason

all we said is we find Bron's style of play BORING cause he cares so much about efficiency

Duncan is also boring cause his game is boring. Stop twisting this into something it ain't. No one said either is less of a player. We just said we don't find their style of play as appealing as Kobe's.

its boring because you are a casual basketball fan. people who have played basketball outside of rec league or their local Y can appreciate qualities such as efficiency and high fg percentages. Lebron is exciting to me because I actually understand the difficulty of the game of basketball.

never said he couldn't.....I'm just saying I prefer that LeBron to the one who would rather play within himself and set up his teammates if doubled

gimme Boston Game 6 LeBron every night and I'd be a fan (not talking production but moreso mentality)

Kobe himself knows that he takes many bad shots. Remember when he hit that game winning 3 against the then New Orleans hornets in NO two years ago after starting 1-19 or something. He was like if I miss that shot everyone would be killing me talking about its a bad shot and shyt. But he said fukk it and would rather lose the game in his hands than trust some lesser player to win it for him. I appreciate that sort of mentality. Bron if he ever has a off night shooting will just STOP shooting. That's his mentality. Kobe on the other hand always believes that he is one shot away from getting in the zone. I like that approach to the game. Especially when it comes with such a talented player. The reason that mentality doesn't work for guys like JR Smith is cause they are not talented enough to have that mentality.

What is the point of having all-star teammates if you are just gonna try to take over every game and keep gunning when you aren't on? There is a reason there are 4 other guys out there. :heh: It was obvious to everyone that he wasn't trying to have to carry the load all by himself when he joined Wade and Bosh in MIA. Hero Ball may be entertaining but it doesn't win championships. People who are interested in winning titles don't go out there trying to do it all themselves, including Kobe. He's always taken bad shots but even he reigned that shyt in when the squad was winning. Mike reigned his shyt in when they were winning too.

now explain why great players like Larry Bird say Kobe's their favorite player?

Jordan 6 titles. Kobe 5 titles. To me their playing styles are what I'm talking about and they seem to have had plenty of success.

Kobe playing hero ball got him
Absolutely nowhere even in his prime.

It got MJ nowhere.

It got Lebron nowhere.

Having no appreciation for Lebron's game is just stupid. Lebron's passing ability alone and his ability tonfifecoff lightning quick passes in perfect rythym with his teammates while exploiting lackluster rotations or spacing is an absolute thing of beauty.

Lebron can literally score Kobe-esque PPG, in a defensive league where pace is slower, defensive schemes are more complicated, and much higher efficiency yet you can't appreciate that?

i never said lebron has to be your favorite player. but to call his game boring is asinine and tells me you really don't know anything about basketball

my bad....CLARIFICATION: LeBron's game is boring in relation to Kobe's game

I still watch most Heat games cause I like basketball. But the truth is that Bron ain't even top 3 for me when it comes to must watch NBA players. I'm checking Rose and Westbrook along with Kobe before I'm checkin for Bron.

I'll agree with that. Only part of Lebron's game outside of his athleticism that wows me is his passing ability. His bounce pass on the break to the open man is a thing of beauty.

Still doesn't change the fact his half-court scoring game is still :scusthov:

LeBron is the best basketball player ever. Whoever disagrees with this fact, I can't take them seriously.

Not the GOAT yet, that's based on legacy. He has more rings to get before he claims that title officially. But his apex is the highest in the history of the sport and it's not even close.

Only idiots don't care about efficiency and MJ was very efficient especially for the amount of shots he took.

It's as simple as this, Lebron is far more effective as a player than Kobe is. You might not like to watch it as much but he's still more consistently dominant. Who you like to watch more accounts for crap.

A.I has a prettier game than Duncan and who gives a crap? Nikkas would really rather build around Jamal Crawford because he's more exciting at scoring than Magic Johnson.

Face it, Kobe Stans hate advanced stats because they crap all over Kobe especially when compared to James and Jordan. They'll bring up Kobe beating the Duncan in H2H but ignore that Lebron has raped the Lakers since Cleveland.

Dumbasses

No......I'll tell you why you're being stupid.

First of all, your argument jumped all around the place. What the fukk does "advanced stats" and H2H matchups have to do with each other?:what:

2ndly, who gives a fukk about REGULAR SEASON MATCHUPS:mindblown: We point out that Kobe has a better PLAYOFF record against Tim Duncan and that Kobe has sent him home numerous times. Nobody could tell you what their regular season matchups record is. LeBron has never met Kobe in the playoffs, so who gives a fukk about their "match ups"

Now, back to my original argument, Jordan didnt give a fukk about efficiency. He's said it out of his own mouth. He didnt stop and say "oh wait a minute.....I'm shooting 4-12 of the field, let me start getting Pip or Grant more involved":rudy:

He kept shooting.

LeBron would stop and become a distributer and it's okay for people to not like that style of basketball. I'd rather watch a team where the star player keeps playing to the wire than become a superstar DECOY like LeBron had the tendency to do.

You bring up AI has a prettier game than Durant? I love Durant's game. He plays to the final buzzer unlike LeBron. He doesnt become a decoy.

I'm more partial to watching and enjoying the Reggie Millers, Michael Jordans, Dominique Wilkins, Larry Birds, Charles Barkleys, Isiah Thomas, Kobe Bryants, Allen Iversons, Tracy McGradys, Stephon Marburys, Stephen Currys, Gilbert Arenas, prime Grant Hills, etc than watching LeBron James playing like Magic Johnson or Scottie Pippen

And yes, LeBron is more consistently dominant NOW........but Kobe from 2001-2010 is way more dominant than what we are seeing from LeBron today.

How the hell is LeBron putting up 26 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists this season more dominant than Kobe putting up 35 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists per game in his prime? Because LeBron is shooting 61%?:mindblown:

I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.

^^^That's how you win 6 Championships without having to run and be surrounded with at MINIMUM 2 other HOFers (Bosh & Wade) on your team.....not including a 3rd HOFer with Ray Allen coming off the bench.

You dont care about how many shots you missed, you keep pushing forward and trust in YOUR talent.

"There's no way, with hindsight, I would've ever called up Larry [Bird], called up Magic [Johnson] and said, 'Hey, look, let's get together and play on one team,'" Jordan said after playing in a celebrity golf tournament in Nevada. The interview aired on the NBC telecast of the event. "But that's ... things are different. I can't say that's a bad thing. It's an opportunity these kids have today. In all honesty, I was trying to beat those guys."

I think the problem is that people are acting as if raw point totals and scoring is the only way to positively impact the game or to "entertain". Just because a guy isn't forcing his offense doesn't mean he's not trying. What you find entertaining is a matter of preference but I think there is some disengenousness going on with this whole "entertaining" piece. The Kobe that people are drooling over appeared in 05 not his whole career. When Kobe was on a championship caliber sqaud, trying to win rings, he wasn't out there trying to go for 40 every night. Same with Mike. Guess they weren't so entertaining those years huh? :heh: Same with all the guys you listed (that were fortunate enough to be on championship squads. BTW some of those names you just pulled out of your ass. :heh: G. Hill was far from a gunner. He was a terrific all around player that had just started to blossom as a scorer the season when he hurt his ankle. Lebron attempts more shots per game for his career than Hill ever attempted in a single season. Beyond all that are you really gonna try to act like we haven't seen Lebron go into takeover mode numerous times over the years? I mean if he's gotta do it every night, which most of those guys never did and the ones who did their team didn't win shyt that season, then that doesn't reflect very positively on his team or his chances to win championships. Funny how I heard so much about rings for years now nikkas wanna talk about what style of player is more entertaining and how they prefer a style that has not lent itself to any championships. :pachaha:

I am truly :mindblown: at how people are underplaying Lebron shooting at or even near 60%. We aren't talking about some pick and roll dunker who only avg. 5 shots a game and most of them are dunks. No we are talking about a perimeter player who, while big and athletic as fukk, takes his fair share of jumpshots, leads his team in attempts and is shooting 60% while in the top 3 in scoring. That's amazing no matter what type of play you prefer breh.
