Only on The Coli is being efficient a bad thing. So many posters on this site that don't know shyt about basketball.
Bron is great player gonna go out as top 5 player but lets not act like he doesn't think about efficiency. Hes out there thinking about being more efficient and thinking about his fg % instead of trying to rip the others team heart out and win games.
“We’re both so conscious of wanting to shoot 50 percent, that sometimes you wish you had that Kobe (Bryant) thought, where you just don’t care,” Wade said. “We talk about it all the time. It sucks at times, but it’s who we are.”
Remember back in the early 2000s when nikkas was scoring 40 and 50 point games every other night entertaining us with crazy shots. Lunch room debates about whose the best Kobe, AI, or T-Mac. nikkas would be going in on who has the better jumper, did the sicker move last night, etc.
Now we're supposed to praise nikkas for their shooting percentages. What has the NBA come to? Take me back to the 00s, I don't find this new NBA where efficiency is seen as some holy grail. I'd like LeBron alot more if he kept taking shots and scored 50 a night rather than just settling to shooting 50%.
50 point games are more exciting than 30 points on 60% shooting from layups and open 3s.

They are insecure. They are scared of Lebron passing Kobe on the all-time list and being considered a better player. They see him as a threat. That's why they try diminish his career. Its so silly and childish.I don't see how that's a negative, they are a terrible rebounding team, they cannot afford to take bad shots. If they had a frontcourt that could pull down offensive boards and clean up their garbage it's one thing, but they are a historically bad rebounding team that beats people by being efficient as hell on offense.
never said that
I'm just saying I'd rather take a good game from Kobe, you know scoring 40/6/5 on 50% shooting, with a myraid of crazy moves and shots.....than a 39/8/7 game from LeBron where shoots 70% or something off layups/dunks/and open 3s.
Look at this game from Kobe's prime. If you can find me one game where LeBron does anything close to this I'll eat my words.
Is it your life's ambition to pick apart every aspect of Lebrons career?this is where watching the games comes in play
I watch almost every Heat game and Bron is NOT a great 3 point shooter. He just is very smart about picking his spots. He usually only takes good looks. And usually only at his sweet spots. He's not very good at the top of the key 3 or the wing 3s. He's however very good on that corner 3. If you watch him play, you'll see most of the contested 3s he hits are corner 3s. He usually misses from other spots if its contested.
His great 3pt% is more a factor of good decision-making than just being a great 3pt shooter. For example, Durant who is a much better 3 point shooter than LeBron just takes alot more difficult attempts, hence a lower percentage. Kobe we all know takes the most ridiculous attempts of 3 and the good thing is that when he makes them we have the GOAT highlight tapes ever but when he misses (which is more likely), it hurts his percentages.
Just remember, Greg Popovich is no fool. He basically dared Bron to shoot outside shots last year in the Finals and for the first 6 games he looked like a genius. Bron just had a hot streak during game 7. I'll take my chances with Bron shooting outside shots anyday. I'll win 6 times outta 7.
Only Hollinger ass dudes obsess about efficiency. At the end of the day, basketball is entertainment, people don't buy tickets hoping to see the most efficient game. This matters to players I guess but what's so special about it as a fan?
Explain the correlation of superstars to shooting at high percentages...Playing with a bunch of superstars makes the game easier
Lebron's fg% in years before decision: .475% clip
Lebron's fg% in years after decision: .538% clip
Wade's fg% in years before decision: .482% clip
Wade's fg% in years after decision: .505% clip
Bosh's fg% in years before decision: .492% clip
Bosh's fg% in years after decision: .507% clip
I'm just talking about that.
Bron jumped up 6.3 percentage points, Wade jumped up 2.3 percentage points, and Bosh jumped up 1.5.
Playing together has made all three more efficient. The numbers just told me what my eyes already saw.
Bosh scoreless in Game 7Shaq never existed. Gasol never existed.
I think he's talking about the same Wade who can't evne play back to back games and went 1-7 vs the Bobcats and Bosh who had 5 fouls and 2 points into the 3rd quarter vs the Bobcats. Yea LeBron is REALLY contributing to that. It's not like his game isn't getting better by the year.
Dwight didn't exist last season either.

Double entendreyou kobe stans always downplay efficiency and act like its nothing. But if kobe had good efficiency and lebron didn't it'd be one of your main arguing points and you guys would always talk about it

Michael Jordan didn't give a fukk about "efficiency".....and he's the fukking GOAT
You damn stat nerds are fukking up the integrity of basketball by bringing these nerdy ass baseball stat up and trying to integrate them onto basketball talk![]()
Jordan didn't care about efficiency? That's why he always looked to take the best shot possible? That's why he always shot close to 50%?
@ Jordan never cared about efficiency.
