one ring>>>>>>Bunch of years trying to get one with young guys.

Lakers were shyt for like the last decade. Lebron already did what he was supposed to do there :manny:

It wasn't supposed to be one ring then be shyt or 8th seed/play-in lowly the other 4 years. shyt is so weird.

It's literally like we sold our soul for a ring. A Ring that many people don't even respect. :mjcry:

Y’all soul was already fukked.

At least you got a ring out of it.:manny:

Be real, no lebron, when was the next time Lakers would EVER be relevant?

And at this point it ain’t even really Lebron fault. It’s the same trash front office that has had the team be trash for years waisting Lebrons last couple good years.

They had a decent squad and traded that shyt away for nothing :francis:

Gotta let cats grow and develop. No one saw the Warriors becoming what they did

Many of us Laker brehs didn’t picture it being THIS

Y’all looking at grass is greener shyt.

Yeah some of the people traded away have turned into very good players, but was Jordan Clarkson, Lonzo Ball and Brandon Ingram really gone lead y’all to a championship?

Real talk them nikkas might be 0-4 right now too :manny:

Jordan Clarkson himself said all those players, including himself, wouldn't have turned into what they did if they stayed in LA. They wouldn't have developed like they did

"I don’t think it ever was going to work with all of us being there. [Laughs.] I think we all were stars in our own right. Us separating and going into our home lanes was a good change of scenery for everybody. I see the tweets and all that stuff. It’s so funny to look back on it. I think the Lakers did a great job of scouting us, finding the talent, and giving us the opportunity by drafting us. But us all being on the same team, I don’t think it ever would’ve worked out. We probably wouldn’t have brought a championship back to them or none of that, you know what I mean? They got LeBron for us, whatever it is. It’s part of the game. All of us were stars in our own roles. We had to get a change of scenery to let us grow in other ways."

I dont think they should have signed LeBron. I mean, it's LeBron, I get it, but why would you sign an aging Lebron? Dude is on the downside of his career. You might get one or two rings out of him, if that. And there's an argument to be made that if the bubble hadn't happened, he never would have got the ring that he did get.

I think building a team around the young guys was what they should have been doing, and if you just gotta bring Bron in, he needs to be clear on what his place is, in the grand scheme of things. We want you to retire here, we're glad to have you but you're not the main character anymore. :yeshrug:

Craziness…signing Lebron brought the Lakers back as an epicenter of the league…it’s as on-brand of a move as they could’ve made…they have to maintain that reputation as the franchise where THEE star of stars go to play…people have gone too far dismissing the chip cause of the bubble, but even outside of that year…the years we’ve sucked with Lebron, the lakers were still one of the biggest stories in the league….Bron breaking the all time points records in a Lakers jersey means something for the prestige and brand of the team…all that “bu but we had a young core that most likely wouldn’t gonna amount to shyt but a couple of early playoff exits” shyt sounds good…until it goes on for a decade, you wake up and the lakers are the knicks…big market team with no clout

We wouldn’t be this

Our chip season has literally been an aberration. It’s nuts to me

like i said before it didnt need to be lebron or the young guys. you just needed to wait on ad to be a free agent and you could have had the best of both worlds sorta like the warriors where they suffered for 2 years and then were a contender in year 3. you'd have ingram to take the load off lebron and enough talent and depth to be serious contenders for going into the 3rd straight year with a future as opposed to being in a worse position right now than when kobe tore his achilles.

remember when lebron signed they had ingram, ball, kuzma, hart, kcp, caruso, zubac. now take the leap that they dont trade zubac before the deadline and they still end up with the 4th pick in the next draft. you go into the 2020 offseason with all those assets ingram is a restricted free agent but you also have his bird rights.

Y’all were “this” before and after the chip.

Lakers didn’t even recruit Lebron and AD. Best thing their front office has done was give them that year.

Otherwise it’s been all bad for a long time now.

my point is if we were gonna be ass, makes you wonder if we shoulda kept the youth. Now we are ass and have no youth or picks to build with.
