Tbh I think it's the music. I didn't even know there were nikkas like that irl, especially since my brother has a track scholarship to a cc and be running at pac-10 races and winning
And one is 19, my brother, and other is 20.

do you have any influence/authority on your brother? does he look up to you? if so, take him a side, have a talk with him, show some approbation for the fact that he agreed to listen to you. try not to judge too much at first to not get him on the defensive. just try to see what his motivation is. try to see if it's about the money, about rebelling, about the power, is he in a gang, etc. try not to judge at first. then once you get a feel of why he's doing this (don't just rely on what he says, rely on what he isn't saying as well and the "feel" you get from him, then come up with a better option that soothes whatever need he has. again, make him feel like by choosing your option, he would gain your approbation from you as well as money and power in the longterm.
I did the same with my younger brother when he decided he wanted to go through his "thug" phase. Like nikka, we was raised by BOTH parents in the suburbs of Lansing Michigan and Stone Mountain, there is NO thug in us. Let that bullshyt be.
