It's like saying I'd rather have a mozzarella, basil, tomato pizza than one with salsiccia too. Just cause the original didn't have meat, matter of fact i'd rather just have bread with olive oil and cheese cause that's the original original, or why not just bread with nothing, that's the original original original.

Look man...no diss to rock legends(I like some Metallica, nirvana and ozzy shyt).....but simply the strings in the beginning of the opening of the Ojays Classic forbids me to entertain any other version. Granted zeppelins is so different but the classic status of the Ojays just keeps my blinders on...call it chosen ignorance If u will....but that song was made when we were just coming out of Jim Crow shyt and black love between man and woman was one of the few joys that could be felt by black people. Maybe it's sappy, but I think about my mom and pops and grandparents when I hear the ojays joint. Plus some of zep's other joints have been accused of plagiarism from blues artists....I guess I'm just cool on that type shyt. But kudos to those who enjoy both.
