That was a special time in gaming, 97-98. OoT, MGS, FF7 and Half-Life blew the doors open and changed everything
Crazy right. Three completely different game philosophies but all extremely influential. The immersive shooter, the cinematic story, the epicHalf-Life, MGS, and OoT dropped all within a 30 day period

My uncle recorded his playthrough on this game back in 98 on vhs tapes. Took like 3 tapes to record his run. I use to watch them shyts like a tv show marveling at his mastery. OoT set a standard that few games will ever reach.
my friend did that for me with this game and FF7. it was like watching a TV series.
I tried to play it on an emulator on my pc when I was a kid, I never stuck with it using keyboard and mouse, despite every podcast I listened too putting in their top 5. I'll probably buy a cheap 3DS and play the remake one day.

The 3DS remake was great, but can you imagine this game getting the kind of glow-up RE2 and FF7 got?Nintendo please give this game the A star treatment and give it a full fledged modern remake.
