Legitimate hairline question: all my brehs that got good grades in science, let me holla at you

was looking at some pics last night and it was like me and my hairline going down memory lane... my stuff was so tight 7 years ago


I want that old thang back


but I got to thinking... My beard grows out in like 4 or 5 days... and I mean, I get that thick Teddy Pendergrass (pause) beard

and I'm trying to figure out... if the hair on my face grows back the same no matter how many times I cut it... then how come the hair on top of my head doesn't do the same thing?

what's the science behind this?

The bolded is a myth. You get your genes from both your mother and father, you can't look to either one as the only factor.

Fair enough. Its one of those things typically from the moms side. At least im holding onto hope, cause my grandpa had a full head with strong edges till his death at 60 something.

His young death had quite a bit to do with alcohol abuse, not genetics.

Cotdamn, breh. Well, you luckier than one of the guys I grew up around. High school basketball and football player (hardly a start). That boy was suffering from male pattern baldness starting at 15. By the end of HS he was rocking baldies, and we saw the constellation on his head indicating how much coverage he lost. Never had a chance.

Most people who grow really long, full beards or just grew facial really early in life have high testerone levels. too much becomes DHT, DHT = balding.

I hope I don't go bald but my dad has a full head of hair and I think my mom's dad had hair. im good.
