I'm on the market for a used car. I'm not trying to spend more than 25k. My previous vehicle broke down a while ago, and now I only have my work van that I use to make deliveries during the week. I have a few issues going on though:

A part of me once a sporty car that looks nice (Lexus GS/ES/LS, Acura TL, Ford Mustang, Etc). Sometimes I just want something fun to ride around in.

A part of me is looking at the Honda Pilot and Toyota Highlander. Of course, I can still ride around in them and do everything I want to do, but cars like these often get soccer mom car labels. On top of that, it throws salt on my game because some women I've met assume you low-key have a family when you roll up in one. However, it gives me more room to go out on trips with friends and family, and there will be opportunities to use it when I do some of my deliveries at night if my work van breaks down.

Another part of me wants a pickup truck that I can use to do some side gigs and make some extra money. Especially on a pickup truck with towing capability. However, these tend to be the most expensive overall and tend to have less fuel economy than the other vehicles. Not to mention pickup trucks are by far the most stolen vehicles in America.

In this particular case, what kind of car would you guys go with?

Only get a pick up if you need it. It's not worth it for "side gigs". I see nikkas riding around with Tundra's as a daily commuter doing grocery runs and shyt :picard:

Based on what you said, I would say you can get a sports sedan that checks all the boxes. Sporty, fun, roomy all that.

These side gigs can make an extra 500 a week in the weekends though:yeshrug:

I went with a ram 1500 hemi back in may. I chose it because I love the comfort and the convenience plus. But 3-5 years from now I’ll definitely be looking into a new bmw after test driving one.

I might get the next year model Dodge Ram Hemi but who knows...the 2020 Ram drives so fukking smooth. My favorite of the year next to the 2020 Camry SE which is wonderful on gas and being zippy...and the 2020 Fusion Tititanium. Fusion SEL was very fun too. The 2020 Ford 150 Lariat was luxurious too.

2013-2015 GS F Sport w 40-70k miles is $21-25k all day. Reliable as fukk and sporty enough to be a fun/decent daily.

This is the answer even tho that Lexus tech will be dated as fukk but the ride, build quality, reliability at that price point gives you good bang for buck.

Big facts, luckily Grom makes this to solve that problem:

Lexus has kinda sorta resolved their infotainment issues with the “new” IS but they are light years behind Genesis.

Literally it’s like Genesis, the new GM SUVs and Volvo (and Ford to a degree) have figured out how to put the damn screen where it should be and allow you to touch it and the shyt not be overkill like Tesla.

Pickup might have eliminated itself if your limit is 25K. I was fortunate to find my Ram 1500 at just under 28K. If you find one at 25K, it's either gonna have high miles, or maybe a punk V6
You ain’t lying. The used truck market is going high right now. At least in Michigan where I’m at. What year is your 1500?
