long post, but fukk it
it's funny watching the puppets in the sports media suddenly acting like knights in shining armor for Les Miles when it was those same puppets who have spent the last decade criticizing, mocking and making a joke out of him

. then again, hypocrisy in the media is the norm and how they garner ratings so no one should really be surprised

. it's even funnier how they are trying to hype up "but he is such a good guy!" (which I'm sure he very well may be), but they forget that he held LSU hostage three different times for larger contracts that quite frankly he didn't deserve (twice with Michigan, once with Arkansas). here is the reality,
Les Miles is a good recruiter, but is a stubborn and below average football coach who refuses to evolve his offensive game plan. a lot of people forget that LSU was already established whenever Miles was hired (Saban won a national title and had boosted the recruiting classes all the way to the top of the country his last two years at LSU. 2003 recruiting class was #1, 2004 class #2).
Go check out Miles's 16-16 conference record, 9-11 division record, and 1-2 bowl record at Oklahoma State and ask them if they miss Miles
regardless, college football is big business and Les Miles is one of the top five highest paid coaches this year earning near $5 million. the bottom line is that he hasn't produced the last several years to justify his salary and control of the team. LSU continues to bring in top 5-10 recruiting classes and has more players currently in the NFL than any other school, but has been very mediocre the last few years due to his coaching. check it out
SEC West Record
2013: 4-2
2014: 2-4
2015: 2-3
Overall: 8-9
1-3 Bowl Record in the last four years
2-4 Bowl Record in the last six years
- 5 consecutive losses to main rival Alabama that started with one of the most embarrassing National Title Game losses in the history of college football. Miles as usual refused to change his offense and that decision resulted in LSU never once crossing the 50 yard line. think about that.
Les Miles was a success because of LSU. not the other way around.
